You can get 300K easy out of the inline 6 4.0 liter with general maintenance. If you can find one with a 4spd a/t or a 5spd m/t get it. The stock 4spd in my cherokee is made by toyota and is a champ!

i know lots about jeeps (but i also work on them and own one)
jeep = just emptied every pocket(which im sure all the jeep owners here know)

now on to mine 94 wrangler rollin on 35's with a 4.56 gears and a super 35 kit in the rear with a detroit locker lift consists of 2.5 inch springs 2 inch shakles and a body lift (i know it's going away soon)
now the rather large downside is i have to put a trans in mine right now
for pics you can check out my myspace where there are pics of her killing a couch

its a 1942 Willys MB slat-grille...so...67 years old? a friend of the family had it since the 60's but didn't want it anymore so we bought it. its got some problems (tranny leaks) and it cant go faster than 55 down hill, but its killer on trails.

I'm fairly certain it's not, but its entirely within the realm of possibility that it might be. From what I can tell though, its an MB

Actually a lot further along though I've hardly touched it since I took that picture, lost the place I was building it in and so haven't done much.

CJ7 frame (nearly perfect), YJ tub, engine/tranny from Chevy S Blazer.

Currently sits with original CJ axles (hope to switch to either CJ Wide Trac's or full width D44's), has engine/tranny/xfer case installed, body on frame. As I have time I'm putzing about putting the wiring harness in as well as under dash components. Hope to have it move under its own power this decade.

Usually people go to opposite way with a YJ frame since they are stronger. Seems like it would be a fun build though.

I wheel my FJ cruiser as hard as I care to wheel my Daily Driver. Which is actually pretty hard. Haven't broken anything, yet. Knock on wook

It has a 3" lift form Toytec, 33x10.5x16 BFG M/T, Rear lower control arms, snorkel, breather extensions, front tube winch bumper (improved from pics-cut the stock tupperware to fill in the gap) and All-Pro rock rails.

First time out:

Second time out:

Then I did this:

Nice truck. Thought about doing the test drive thingy they had available at the SD auto show for one of those FJ cruisers, but I didn't want to somehow break their truck. Maybe I should have gone for it, heh

Thats awesome. We had an fj before they came out when I worked for tuff country to fabricate a lift for it. Was way fun to drive and they do pretty good off road.
