Haven't played any of the M.E. games yet. Maybe a good place to start.

How much?

If ME1 doesn't still have the autosave glitch that causes you to lose 90 minutes of gameplay when you due, it just won't be the same.

That was a great but I've only been driven to the point of nearly chucking a controller at the wall like 10 times, and 9 of those were after dying in ME1

I dont remember much from 1, except the Planet Rover.

I do recall thinking be able to export your character from 2 to 3 was pretty boss.

Awesome series...loved ME1 and ME2 so much. But I'll wait until this goes on sale on Steam for $9.99 or something.

There were a ton of negative reviews on Steam about mouse+keyboard issues. It's definitely a controller kind of game, IMO.

They were supposed to have fixed some of the janky gameplay issues with ME1, but does anyone know if that means they put the ME2/ME3 battle system into ME1?

I might get it once it comes down in price.
I already played all three and it was a great series. This time is like to play on the tv and couch. Relax after work.

I played about 4 hours of ME1 since it was released and they did not implement the battle system from 3 … not even close. It’s pretty clunky still (not as bad as ME1 was initially, but still pretty dated feeling).

That being said, I’m loving it.

They did clean up the game quite a bit and it feels much better to play than the original version (which I tried about a year ago and couldn’t force myself to keep going). So you get a better version of the first game with the benefit of that amazing story the first one has.

The other really nice change is that the levelling system has been improved. There’s an option called “legendary levelling” that speeds the levelling process quite a bit so you only need the one playthrough in ME1 to max out your skills (whereas previously you needed 2 playthroughs). I’m really looking forward to finishing ME1 for the story and then diving into 2 and 3 where being a Vanguard is actually fun (ME1 is missing some of the most fun parts of being a Vanguard which is my preferred class)

I love me some Mass Effect and I played the **** out of all the games as a new Mass Effect seemed to come out whenever I was deployed so I had nothing but time to play. But imma wait on this one as I hear it's a bit too close to the source material plus all threwe versions are already on xbox GamePass and with the Series X, the resolution is uppes and the game is finally given a stable framerate

I loved this game series. I'm not sure I can spend another 200+ hrs on them. Looks very good though. Can't wait for the next ME segment.

I started ME1 play through yesterday, it seems to run a lot better/smoother than how I remember it.

It’s smoother than before … but ME1 is such a bummer to play when compared to the later games. I wish they made ME1 with ME Andromeda’s gameplay. I’m almost done my playthrough with 1 and I can’t imagine ever going back to it (even with this remake). So many recycled areas and the enemies aren’t smart at all … plus the weapons and powers just don’t feel great (it comes together so nicely in 3 and andromeda)

I'm like 14 hours in to ME1 and I'm pretty much enduring it to get to the other 2. ME1's story is fantastic, gameplay... is a better than before, but still feels like a slog.

The funny thing is, during my play through, I feel a little like I'm possessed at times, muscle memory and animal brain taking me through some stages automatically AND making sure I get any hidden goodies or fluff. This happens specifically on planets. The Citadel is still a big stupid maze to me. And I've played through the 3 games 5+ times. Go figure.

Yeah, I got tired of walking around the Cit doing side quests before getting my Spectre Promotion.

Maybe you have gotten it yet, but I got a random mission from Adm Hackett to go find some Biotic Prophet named Kyle (I guess it was a DLC orig). I went to the moon called Presrop and I am just driving around and nothing shows up. Maybe it's a bug or something

I finished my playthrough of ME1 and I did all the side quests (but I gave up on finding the resources, metals and writings randomly on planets because while driving the Mako is 100x better than it used to be, it still sucks). I did not run into any bugs where stuff didn't show up and I remember that quest. There were a few quests where I had to randomly drive around for stuff to show up (which sucks) and a few where you had to pixel hunt on solar systems to find hidden ships or planets to scan (which really sucks). I don't remember how that specific quest triggered, but I do remember completing it. Wish I had better info for you, but I'm on to ME2 and it's soooooo much better

I downloaded this so I am in. It looks way betterer than the original me1.

I ran into a small bug(?). I tried to use my Xbox controller and also the mouse/keyboard on my pc. Well it won't let me use the quick slots if I keep my Xbox controller plugged in. Kind of a bummer because that is what I wanted for driving the mako.
