UT: 2005 Saab 9-2x Aero
$13,000 obo (will post pics as soon as the app lets me. Message me for them in the meantime)
2005 Saab 9-2x Aero Not 100% sure I'm going to sell, but trying to gauge interest. Basically, I'm trying to start my own business and need to get something I can use for towing. Am strongly considering selling my project to help fund the business and make some room at the house for a trailer. I have put a lot of hours and love into this project. Please read the whole post. Low balls will be ignored. I have roughly $25k into this car so far. I had been building this car as a weekend fun canyon carver/track day car. Have done 1 auto-x and no track days on this build so far. Bought this as a rolling chassis in spring 2020. Have most of the mechanical stuff done. Needs the DCCD rebuilt, but already have the MSI rebuild kit for it. Just haven't gotten to it yet. Body doesn't look good in photos because I have been in the process of prepping it to be painted which I was hoping to do summer 2022. 90% of the body work needed has been done. A little more filler, sand and prep and she's ready to be sprayed. Below is a list of everything about the carAll Cerakote is the black 2000* coating) -05 9-2x Aero chassis bought with 66k on the odometer. Currently has about 93k. All other rubber and vac lines were replaced when I did the build in 2020. All wheel bearing replaced with NTN 9/2020. Hubs, knuckles, front and rear subframes, and various other parts have all been treated with Por-15. Using Motul Sport Ester 5w/40 with changes at 3k mile intervals. As mentioned, I have the MSI DCCD rebuild kit with 4qts of Motul fluid ready to go. Just haven't had time to do the work yet. Trans shifts fine. Stick has a fair amount of play. Probably could use a new backing plate while the tail housing is off. Sub is mounted in a custom box in the spare tire well. There is a gap on the pass side from where I had a trunk mounted battery on the previous car. Has sound deadening throughout the doors, trunk, and under the rear seats. Speaker are running on the JD amp, sub on the RD. Using the built in DSP on the head unit. Most rattles have been fixed. There are a couple I'm still trying to pin point. Heated seats and sunroof all work. No issues with the power windows or mirrors. PS pump is working fine, no leaks. Car was tuned 11/2020 by Calvin Dotson at EFI Logics in Connecticut. I had asked him for a more linear power band and not to push the turbo too hard. I was more interested in keeping it safe for track use rather than peak numbers. Holds pretty close to peak torque from 3800-6900rpm and hits peak horse power at 7200rpm. Pulls strong to redline. 329/266 on their Mustang Dyno. Tuned on 91 octane. Car is currently in Salt Lake City, UT. I have probably forgotten something. So feel free to ask. Winter wheels are on it currently as seen in the photos. Can send pics of the summers if wanted.

It's not my first choice, but I don't really have room where I live and it would go a long way toward getting my business going. Definitely not going to settle. Hopefully I can find someone who wants to take the last bit of time to get it done. I'm gonna keep the VIN so I might be able to find it and get it back someday when I have the room for it. |
