Default T56 Caprice @ Gingerman, Sub 1:40?

I went on a trip to Gingerman for my first time ever this summer to take a stab at running a Sub 1:40 lap in my T56 swapped Caprice track car:

I’m wayyy behind on editing together my video footage from 2021, but hopefully catching up soon! I still have 2021 videos to put together from Autobahn Country Club in Illinois, Club Motorsports in New Hampshire, and Dominion Raceway in Virginia. I’m planning to scratch off Carolina Motorsports Park in South Carolina February 19-21 as my first 2022 Trackday.

I’m constantly trying to improve my videos, so let me know what you think or what you’d like to see!

I’m planning to do a Dragon/Us129 trip in my daily WRX wagon soon, as well as at least one full track day for my first time ever come November with MassTuning at Canaan Motor Club in New Hampshire, so stay tuned for my Subaru content too!

Cheers!

Awesome track car, certainly won't see another out there with you! CMP is a great track, especially with the repave in 2020. I don't think my car will be ready for a February track day but will make it there at sometime this year. What organization are you running with?

Thanks for posting this! I was and still am a huge fan of the 90s Caprice and Impalas. I nearly bought a White 9C1 (can't remember year) with most of the exterior converted over to Impala trim, the interior was blue LOL. This was nearly my first car back in 2002, unfortunately the seller and I had difficulty meeting up and someone with better timing was able to get it. Still, it was awesome to see all those B bodies and you tracking the car!

Not sure how I missed this!
I don’t remember which group I was planning with, as I ended up going to Road Atlanta with Chin instead. Planning to do Roebling Road for my first time this month, and CMP in Feb/March hopefully.

Thanks for checking it out!
Too bad you missed out on that 9c1… I’d argue they’re a bit more durable than most turbo Subaru products ***128517;
I bought mine about that same time, maybe 2004? Bone stock, 60k miles, blue interior, haha.

Gridlife is doing a festival event at CMP 3/31-4/2 that I am planning to drive at.

It was you!!! Yeah, its okay, I ended up getting a 98 Regal GS that I very much enjoyed owning, had a few mods, until someone decided I shouldn't have nice things and hit it while parked. I don't doubt at all that the drivetrain is more reliable than a turbo Subaru anything. LOL
