Default Newb to E-85, what is needed to run ethanol?

First, the obligatory apology for asking something that may have been covered ad nauseum.

Ok, a quick google maps search reveals quite a few E-85 stations in my area. I'm quite surprised it is this prevalant (Albany, NY region).

I know the general pros/cons of running it, and understand the basics. But I'm still a bit unclear what would be required to run say, a stage 2 08 STi on E-85. I know our injectors and pump a slightly uprated from 07 and prior, but enough to support E-85 fueling? Ideally I would have 2 maps at my disposal, a 93 octane and an e-85.

And for those who do/have used e-85 to make modest stage 2 type power... is it worth the effort?

Rescale your injectors by flow*.66, probably need to adjust tip-in as well.
You'll require about 20-30% more fuel, which means 650-700cc or larger for a stage 2 STi, which means no stock injectors. A walbro 255 would be fine for stage 2.

I'll be running a 3076 .82 and plan on e85. I have the bosch 1000cc's. With the fuel pump controller on my car, what options do I have when the walbro can't supply enough fuel?

man that e85 faq is old, information from 2005 and most recent from mid 2008.

From what I saw in the faq thread you only need larger injectors and a re-tune to run e-85, no other modifications neccessary.

There is a thread about this in the Built motor section. Keep your walbro in-tank pump and use it to feed a Bosch 044 inline pump. If you get an FPR, you can also run those injectors at much higher static pressures. If I recall correctly they flow something like 1500cc's at 100psi. They should be fine.

The pain in the ass part is wiring up the fuel pump...anyway, go to Built Motor Discussion and read about it. That should answer all questions.
