It's time for a FEEL - Extreme Flow HARD Turbo Inlet by Killer B Motorsport
Included Features:
• Designed and Made in the USA • Made from Heat Treated Cast Aluminum • includes Coupler for OEM or 3" Compressor Inlet • Does not require removal of Intake Manifold • Includes Fittings for OEM and Aftermarket Vacuum options • Looks Terrific! So I've always been skeptical of the 'hard' turbo inlet, but a tuner friend always used to tell me 'the hard inlets make best power'. Having used Silicone inlets (and been happy with the results) since ~2007 I had generally been happy with the gains from the silicone inlets. Assuming hard inlets likely couldn't produce more than a couple HP and were definitely NOT with the effort that's required to install them. Ignorance is bliss! Fast forward many years and I finally get around to scanning an OEM turbo inlet and chipping away at a design. We got a couple of hard inlets in, and went through the install to see if they were as horrible as I remembered hearing about, and they were. Made some design tweaks so our version installs at least as easily as the silicone units and even got decent results from the sim. Yay! Most decent aftermarket silicone inlets are in the $180-$260 price range. The cheap ones I've seen are not note worthy because they are just crap and customers that are shopping for cheapest price are not looking for our stuff anyway. I've not finalized production pricing, but we'd likely be in the $299 and up to $399 if you wanted to add a fancy heat reflective ceramic coating. The million dollar question here... is the hard inlet we would produce, worth the price of admission? That is the question I am asking for your feedback on. Here is some data from Flow Bench testing. OEM vs Silicone Competitor vs Killer B Dyno plot from a stage 1 STi. Will have more date on a higher HP application soon, but according to the SIM and Flow Bench, the improvements will scale up with flow/power level.

A $300 price range would be reasonable in my opinion, and seems in line with other hard inlets on the market. Cost is worth it over a silicone inlet in my opinion, the posted gains alone would make it worth it for a junk stock part that should be replaced when upgrading anyways. Seeing flow tests against some other hard inlets on the market would be nice too, but I know your research/craftmanship/quality is always on point.
I ran an AMR hard inlet on my last Subaru when I upgraded to a 3" inlet turbo, and was very happy with it versus the silicone one on before it. I didn't think pulling the manifold was too much extra work, but being able to install (relatively) easily without removing the intake manifold would be a great selling point! I'm still on a stock turbo inlet on my current STI, and I would definitely go with this inlet over a silicone one when it comes time to upgrade if this goes into production. (Or into a group buy if it makes it to a pre-run product.) |

Hi Chris,
If you can offer complete instructions with pictures, as Perrin does, and guarantee it’s easily done without removing the IM I think you have a winner. Back when I upgraded my turbo intake, I did the Perrin because of what I mentioned above. Later upgraded to the AMR inlet, but let AMR do the work since it was in for other work as well. I heard it was a royal PIA without removing the IM and wasn’t confident in my abilities to do so. If I had yours as an option back then I would have gone that route without hesitation. I’ve since gone rotated, so not needed at this point. Go Killer B! |

Looking forward to this inlet. I would be happy to test the install procedure and provide feedback.

I think $300 is good starting price point for this. A small premium over the silicone inlet, but with increased performance and a guarantee it won't collapse.
I have turbo with a 3" inlet welded on, but I can pull the turbo without removing the intake manifold. So I know a 3" hard inlet can be maneuvered under the IM. My hope is once people start seeing how easy the install is, you'll capture the market and silicone inlets won't be the standard any more. Do you have a date set to be available for the market? I'm excited about this part since I'm changing turbos this winter and will need a 3" inlet. |

With the performance gains I see on the graph, if it was offered in wrinkle black or red, I would be a buyer! Looks like its going to be a great product!

When I go bigger turbo with a 3" compressor inlet, I'll get KBM rather than getting another silicon. Pricing around $300 is acceptable.

Great feedback guys, thank you.
Just to follow-up with some questions, it will be offered in textured back powder coat. Since we're machining the NPT port already, I don't see why we can't knock down the BPV boss/port. |

Price seems about right where it should be, and would be an instant buy for me.

Sweet! Im there too...had bad dream last night my mishimoto inlet was having issues...this morning car felt slow...not related but just didn't help lol! Could you offer the white option? And referencing machining it...does that mean a threaded option?

that would be pretty fun! do you have the clear timing covers too? My wife loves watching grease so I think about that clear hood whenever I see/hear about stuff like that!

Any plans to make it fit FP Turbos?

We all know you just want to add to your unusual bong collection The PA12 prototypes have all performed flawlessly and are still in use with 6+ months of use. I don't expect they would hold up well over the long term, multiple engine replacements, etc. Now that we've got the dyno cell with wind tunnel blowers and flow bench, we have been tossing around the idea of doing testing of airflow from bumper to compressor inlet with sensors all along the way. Just need to find the time. Yes. We have OTS couplers, and our own versions following. One of those will be for the FP inlet size. Last edited by KillerBMotorsport; 03-14-2021 at 10:33 AM. |

Awesome! Can’t wait to purchase. Track days are on hold due to my collapsed inlet.

Looks like pictures are down, rehost? What's the timeline like? Get one in black to Tom at Wicked Performance and it'll go on my EJ22T build with a 3.5XTR...you know we both want that.
