FL: 2005 STi, 58k Miles, 425 WHP, IAG, BUILT & RELIABLE $28K
The Story:
I have been a Subaru owner/enthusiast for the last 12 Years, this is my 3rd Subaru. I have also worked professionally in the auto industry for the last 12 years, at one point owning and operating a Subaru Performance Shop. This car showed up to my shop in of April of 2016 bone stock with 27,000 miles on it. It was a 2 owner vehicle and the second owner put it in storage in 2008 prior to being deployed to Japan for 8 years. It came into my store because the fuel pump feed hose sprung a hole whilst being driven from it's storage unit in North Carolina down to Florida to be sold. I ended up purchasing the vehicle (here in Florida) after fixing it as it was so unmolested and in pristine condition. At the time had the original brakes which were around 60% worn. The wheel bearings were a little noisey from it sitting for so long so I replaced the brake pads, rotors and wheel bearings on all four corners. I also changed all the fluids on it day one. It needed to be retuned for it's new elevation environment and the local tuner I used ran it lean and bent 4 valves. At this point I performed the following modifications in one fail swoop and have been driving it on this build without issue ever since. This vehicle has absolutely no rust and is in great running condition, it has and can continue to be a daily driver. FULL DISCLOSURE: There are 2 imperfections on the vehicle: There is a small oil leak from the oil drain tube (this could be fixed with a new Garrett drain tube) The windshield has a crack (original glass, will replace or repair depending on buyer preference) (Dyno Chart and assumed HP ratings are from my previous 05 STi w/ same build, this vehicle has not been dyno'd) That's it, this car was meticulous put together by taking the time to do it right and then maintained to an overkill level.
