Ah I see thanks! Well I’m still deciding if I want coilovers or not. I saw Feal suspension makes a full strut for it now but at 1200-1300 for a set I might as well go coilovers. So I’m not sure what I want to do! Haha thanks for input though

Update: Just got a front 22mm sway bar from Whiteline and RalliTek front endlinks in. Can’t wait to get these installed and feel the difference. Rear 22mm is coming next to really balance the car. Front driver endlink developed a clunk so I’m going ahead and just replacing it all while I’m at it.

Update: Sad times....family member backed into the front bumper the other day. Wasn’t a hard hit or any major damage. Just a big scratch on the front bumper and headlight. Now dealing with insurance to get it fixed. I’ll post pics of it a little later.

Thanks. It’ll get a new bumper and possibly headlight so it’ll look good as new

Update: insurance is finally getting back with me. The bumper and headlight are getting replaced. Due to the OEM headlight being about $900 I’m going to use some of that to just buy a set of aftermarket spyder headlights. Anyone have experience with their c-shape DRL ones?

Random old pic lol

Update: After two weeks of the car in the body shop haggling with the insurance I finally have it back. It got a new bumper, paint fixed on the hood scoop, fog light covers fixed from rock chips, and new Spyder headlights. Body shop did an amazing job paint and finish looks spot on. I got the bumper and headlights. I will be selling the bumper if anyone wants it. $150+ shipping OBO. Car looks great!

Update: Just did the second oil change with the car now at 227,000. Replaced the oil cooler gasket so no more leaky oil! However I did confirm my suspicions…the front driver side shock is worn out and starting to leak fluid. So next step, Feal Suspension coilovers.

What about the STI R205 strut and spring kit from Japan Parts? You would definitely have that OEM+ feeling and have it genuinely factory Subaru.

I searched for some of those rarer model suspension but nothing of reasonable price came up. Good idea though! Just received my Feal 441 coilovers

Update: Car is now at just over 227,000 miles! New suspension bits go in this weekend and it’s much needed. Car has developed a small issue. At least I think it’s an issue. Yesterday I started it and had a rough idle and almost died a couple of times. I let it sit and have a little gas and then it cleared up. Hasn’t done it again. I’ve also noticed when start to press the throttle to “go fast” the car seems to fall on its face right before 3,000 rpm. But it clears up right after. This morning I heard the turbo spool but it still felt like it was lagging behind so I backed off the throttle in case it was running lean. Going to get the injectors cleaned and replace the spark plugs and clean the air filter and MAF.

If anyone knows of any known issues with this years factory tune or what not feel free to chime in.

Update: Car threw a CEL yesterday and died a couple of times. Cleaned the air filter and MAF and car runs great now so dodged a billet there. Here’s a few picture from a local cruise night/Autocross a couple of weeks ago.

Update: Feal 441 Max Travel Coilovers installed as well as a KillerB shift knob. Could not be happier with the coilovers. Exactly what I was looking for. Ride height stayed about the same. Possibly a very very slight drop but not noticeable. They ride great not too harsh. 6kg springs all around. Car stays planted and stiff but not uncomfortable over daily driving bumps. Also have 22mm whiteline sways. Car is great right now running well!
Shift knob is great too just a little on the lighter side. Doesn’t get overly hot and has a great texture feel. Very pleased.

All that’s left is an alignment and bolt check to make sure it’s all good.
