Default TPMS light?

So recently I got a little rowdy on a paved road with some dirt on it. TC kicked in and now my TPMS light came on should I be worried or are Subaru’s tpms super sensitive to slip?

First make sure the pressure is correct. It can go off if the tires have too high of pressure as well.

Some other things can make them go off when they shouldn’t, if the tire has a weird flex to it (like if you park on a rock or a curb for example) that can trigger them.

If the pressure is fine than see if it goes off over time, if not it could have been damaged or ran out of battery.

I don’t think spinning your tires has anything to do with it. I spin mine all the time in the winter and don’t have issues.

I’ll check pressure after work, correct me if I’m wrong but the 2011 wrx hatch has a LSD right? I’m new to the forums I just bought my WRX a month ago and I’ve posted a couple questions and so far you’re the first response lol many questions to come for the forums!

Could these be tripped but not pull any engine codes (current issue)?

I don't think there's any way for the TPMS to cause an engine code, although I'm not 100% sure.

Took it to the dealer today... they recalibrated all of the sensors and so far I haven’t got a light, we’ll see if it comes on at the spot it usually comes on, on the way to work tomorrow.

Please update. Also, how much did it cost you to get TPMS light fixed atthe Stealership?

They charged me $20. And the light came on 3 days after so not sure they actually fixed it.

Guessing one or more of the actual sensors is dead and all they did was re-flash the IDs of the sensors or something along those lines. No way they took the tires off and checked all of the sensors individually and remounted them for $20.

I scanned my neighbors Toyota Camry, codes told me one of his TPMS sensors was crapped out (the exact one too). Are Subaru's not that specific in terms of engine codes?

Whatever Toyota does with their ECMs is virtually unprecedented in the industry as far as I know. They encrypt them and odds are no one has any idea how their software works. Usually cars don't have a way for the TPMS to communicate with the ECM I'm pretty sure.
