Default What do you think? 2014 WRX 5-door

I have a WRX that has roughly 96K on it and just encountered a rod knock in the engine. My mechanic is giving me an estimate of about 6-8K in fee's for a rebuild.

Do i spend the money for the rebuild just to turn around and sell it?
It would essentially have a new motor and a new clutch (replaced 7/2020) with less than 500 miles on it.

Or try and sell as is? wishful thinking i know.

Any advise?
Input, comments?

Thanks all.

fix it, I think that is a little high if you were to get a stock ra block you could probably get it done for around 4ish, the stock block from subaru is around 2000, figure about 1000 to 1500 for r and r it and about and 500 for machining and gaskets

Price does seem a bit high. Maybe get another quote or two?
