Chicago person handy with EJ20 wanted
Hello all,
I don't frequent this forum but I am working on a project some of you may find interesting. It's a ground-up build two seat car using an EJ20 moved to the rear. Long-term project that I am approaching go-kart stage with. The chassis is nearly complete and I am going to need some help from a person knowledgable about EJ20 motors and gearboxes. The plan now is to run the stock motor and gearbox with some small mods like exhaust and intake. Then if all goes well with testing I will do a built motor over the winter (i.e. have someone do a built motor - I am not an engine guy). Target will be 300-325hp. I drove the donor car (an '04 WRX wagon) into the garage so the motor should run when the harness is all put back together but I'll need some help sorting that and understanding any quirks (ex. is bleeding the clutch straightforward?) I am in the city of Chicago very near downtown. Let me know if any of you feel equipped and would be interested in helping out.
