I'm still around, but now have a Type R as a weekendcar/garage queen after 3 Subarus. Ahh, the good ol days. Bought my 2002 WRX from Tor at Renick, the hangouts at Ryan from Irvine Subaru's place, Aerosim, Church tuning, crowbar, I ROBOT, subaru kym, STEVER, and probably a ton more that i don't remember.

@Nutbucket, you on SF.org?
Aerosim is still around.... Although no longer in OC. Ryan has a podcast that is enjoyable. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...s/id1483882212 |

I haven't been over there in a while. Gave the SJ to my brother in law. Plus it is a non-turbo CVT so not really ripe for mods LOL.

People have no issues modding them on SF....
Mostly for capabilities, not getting out the gate faster type mods.... |

What’s considered OG? I’ve been around since 2007. Own 3 Subies still. My 2000 RS Rally Car, 2007 Forester XT and 2015 Outback.

Oh hi... is my member number low enough?
I'm partially back in SoCal now and still have a silly souped up Baja and OXT. |

HeyChris,
It looks stock on the outside - but covered in dust because Cyl 4 let go so it's parked... and then a rat made a nest and when I fired up recently, fuel went everywhere from the lines Sir Rat chewed through. I guess the fun had to end at some point and it did (cyl 4) at 130k miles. Now I need to pull everything and fix it. Ugh. But last time I sat on the dyno, it made ~350 AWHP (back when the wife was Dir of Engineering at Cobb). I also have the driveline from the old Cobb Carbon Fiber race-car-that-never-was-completed (souped up 6sp, r180, driveshaftshop axles) waiting to go into the Baja, but ain't nobody got time for that... I work 80+ hours a week (startup-ish) and I rent a small place and my garage is too full of crap to work on the projects. So every day I see the sad Subarus and think "if only Subaru had a 6MT turbo wagon of any kind..." |

I’m some kind of OG I think.
Got on here when I bought my 04FXT. Had lots of fun learning things to upgrade and make my sleeper. It’s still going granted it’s on its second rebuild with 220k miles. Needs full body work. I can’t seem to let it go. It’s still a fun ride and very useful for occasional hauling of stuff for projects. Also a fun ride when I feel like going to a HPDE which I’m shooting to happen in the winter fall season. Just signed back on today and posting this 3rd post to be able to create a new thread in the WTB. Looking for an 04STI ECU for this next tune. |

Wow, great thread...I remember some of the names from back in the day. Had a '03 Bugeye and then switched to an '06 LGT. Went too far on the mods and was having trouble with getting a smog. Now, after selling my LGTin 2017, I'm just putting around in a Focus ST...almost stock!
I'm cleaning out my garage so I can park my old Vette and I want to give away some Subaru Extra S gear oil. I don't have access to my old screen name, so I need to have have 3 posts to start a new thread...so here's No. 1. |
