Default Western MA: Looking for Tune for 2008-12 JDM EJ20Y swap into Baja (USDM ECU)

EJ20Y just swapped into my 2005 AT Turbo Baja (only mod is SPT Intake). The main purpose of tune would be to compensate for exhaust AVCS which is now not hooked up (apparently cam is now also set to most conservative position).

On a budget (aren’t we all?) and looking for “reliability”; use 93 octane. I don’t have (or want) ACCESSPORT or other. Older Unabomber post indicated an open tune to get 90-95% of potential power would take about 1-2 hrs.

Seems Tuning forum here died abt. 2015 & Google/FB searches show nothing real closeby - I assume Hartford and Boston area would be closest tuners?

Any recommendations or available appointments?

Driving conservatively for “truck things” until I get a tune.

Thanks,

Tim

Tuning that setup is not hard, but you put yourself in a bad spot leaving the variable exhuast cam and not swapping it out for a fixed one. Severely hurts economy and power. I wouldnt call where it sits at rest conservative, just wrong. Its too bad it doesnt sit at 0 when not hooked up like the intake cam does.

I am very familiar with all the JDM swaps and tune them quite often. If you want more info shoot me an email: [email protected]

and yeah, forums are dead pretty much
