Default Official XT Oil Filter Part Number thread

I was sick of trying to find the right part number cross reference, so I did some homework and came up with these PN's
I know not everyone likes each type of filter, don't really care, just thought I'd try to help a bit. I just picked the most popular ones that came to mind.

SUBARU OE OIL FILTER: 15208AA080
PUROLATOR OIL FILTER: L14612
FRAM OIL FILTER: PH6607
WIX OIL FILTER: 51365
K&N OIL FILTER: HP-1008
AMSOIL OIL FILTER: SDF13
AC DELCO OIL FILTER: PF1237

Hope this helps,

Bry.

I've used purolators (Pure ONE) before for my 00 Forester and they have always been a perfect fit.
I took one of my OEM filters to a parts store and compared it to the PUROLATOR Pure ONE PL14612 (same number except for "P"), I found that the purolator filter is about a 1/2 inch longer. Don't know whether that makes much of a difference....

Go for it Peaty, if there's any other brands you guys want me to look up gimme a holler, I just thought of those off hand.

I picked up a Purolator yesterday to change my oil tonight, looks just like OEM, only white.

Last night I changed the oil again on the XT. While I was at AutoZone I got the PL14612 which is the Pure One version. I still have about 4 OEM filters but I wanted to compare the Purolator to it. I have the WIX 51365 / Purolator and OEM and took some pics. It seems that the Purolator and WIX are 65 or 66 mm not 68 like the OEM. The Purolator is taller than the OEM and the WIX is the same height as the OEM. None are exactly the same but all are small to keep away from the heat of the header. I'll post pics tonight. My guess is they all will work no problem.

With the OEM shorter than the Pure ONE (PL14612), I had some concerns whether the Purolator would be scraping the splash guard, but I think it should work fine.

Or the Fram "X2"?
