Default borla exhaust

is this exahsut really only 2 inches in diameter? i currently now own a apexn1 full catback, i love it, love the gians, but its not stock looking..and cops aroudn here are getting more and more anal, so i would love to go with a stock lookign exahsut.. is the borla even worth looking into for an exhaust setup? hks? thanks

im having the same problem looking for the right exhaust. i have an apex n-1 myself and dont really like the looks of the cops behind me. plus like i said before i always get a ricer who wants to race me. i dont race in a straight line, thats boring. well anyway i heard the brullen exhausts are nice. im just not sure how the high tenp paint will last.

Borla looks "stock" but definitely doesn't sound stock.

aj's25rs - the iON/Brullen exhausts are made of 16 gauge T304SS, the hi-temp paint is just an extra layer of protection. So even if some of the hi-temp paint came off you're good to go

There are many guys running our systems over in NY and other salt-belt areas w/o problems. If it can withstand the extremes in weather conditions that Canada has to offer, it'll easily withstand the conditions in in the US.

also the brullen cat back comes in 2.25" and 2.5 " which is better? does it make much of a difference if the headers and cat are only 2.25" basicly im asking if i should get the 2.5" even though i plan on getting a random tech or cobb cat that is 2.25"

will

also brullen offers quiet / medium / loud? whats this about? they say that they are the same performance wise. any oppinions.

Will98RS - you can purchase the systems directly from us, or one of our dealers in the US. It's generally quicker to get it directly from us.

In regards to piping diameter, if you're doing mostly street driving, then 2.25" is the better option, you will notice a slight reduction in low-end w/ the 2.5" piping although there'll be a higher top end gain vs. the 2.25" piping.

If NY doesn't have the same strict emissions stds as Cali (in terms of CARB certified parts), you may want to consider getting our whole header-back system which comes with an equal-length header, hi-flow cat, mid-pipe and rear-section. This will meet federal EPA emissions standards.

In regards to the acoustic preferences, there is no difference in performance between quiet, medium and loud. The only difference is weight of the whole system.

I thought that the loud prefrence has a slight gain over the other two because of the lack of a resonator...

The Stromung Dual Tip also looks completely stock. In fact, it looks way better than stock.

Here's a pic.

(Excuse the license plate. I did this one as a joke and don't have my editor with me.)

The Stainless Steel Stromung has the word "Stromung" engraved on the tips. The Mild steel only has them painted on the base of the tips.
