Default 2011 2.5i ecu

I’ll try to make this as short as possible ...I did an engine swap from an 09 Impreza into this 2011 2.5i ( the car ran before but the motor was clearly blown ) so after I put the new motor in I made the mistake of keeping the wiring harness from the 09 on it and tried to start it . Pretty sure I fried the ecu . Swapped the old harness back and still nothing ( no spark , crank sensor code ) . I’ve tried pretty much everything before deciding it must be the ecu . So , does anyone know if these ecu repair websites are legit? The dealer wants me to tow it there , buy a new ecu from them and have them program it for around 1000$ . I found this site called module experts that claim they can repair it and it’ll be “plug an play” but I wasn’t sure if they’re legit . Thanks

The dealer won’t sync a used ecu . That’s why I was trying to get the original repaired

Screw Dealership

Tuner can
Or
Specialty mobile auto electronic companies can

Think of it this way
Doubtful that vendors would sell ECMs for $100-$200 if they were just dead weight

Do you have one you could recommend ? I couldn’t find a company that would do it other than the dealer
