That should keep me plenty busy for a while. We'll see what the market looks like in a couple of years.

Phoenix is lovely, I snuck out for a couple days to see NLCS games 3 & 4. AZ Wilderness Brewing alone had me considering moving out there, what a cool spot. I know all about "dry heat," but I still don't know how there are so many avid hikers out in that neck of the "woods."

It's a shame there's no check in place for the out of control corpos. I have been saying about price gouging forever and it seems like most people are just coming around to it. Jokingly just say "covid" whenever it comes up. I don't even want that much, just a house and one last new ICE car (blue flame GRC PLEASE) to keep with the STI forever before buying an electric/hybrid daily. CTR is a really cool car too, I just don't like FWD (even if I barely need AWD these days).

Well, you still got those that will claim “socialism” if you talk about some sort of regulation or that it “stifles” innovation (puhlease). But I do feel like people are def. becoming more “woke” to these issues. Ever since 08 with the occupy Wall Street and the focus of the 1% and then further after covid. You saw it with the big quit/resignation whatever you wanna call it and now with a resurgence of unions again in our country.

Anyway, I feel the same way about FWD/AWD but man, that integra Type S, I’m in love. Clearly can’t touch that unless I get another job. But if I could, I’d go FWD for that baby lol I’ve seen some that are listed for msrpish price but not sure how many hidden fees the dealers tack on after that lol

Here is a secret. Do not buy it! That is your price check. Only the consumer not spending will stop it. It has already started. Full size trucks are being offered at 6, 7, and even 10k dollars off sticker.

High interest rates and crappy economy and high inflation will shudder sales of everything. (housing market is dying). Prices will adjust. Will we ever get back to the good ole days like it was 5 years ago... maybe not.

High demand things like sports cars and niche things may never come back. Or at least it will take longer?

Guess time will tell. You want price control.... then just do not buy overpriced things. Cannot help you with food. Inflation and gas prices have screwed the economy up really bad.

completely agree. It is not the same. We all just continually regurgitate the same rubbish around the same few campfires.

So up by $1950 each year.

I would really like for things to stop getting so gotdamn expensive.
I will never be able to afford nice things again.
Want to talk about a kick in the dick? I sold my 2017 M2 in 2020 with 25k’ish miles for $37k.

Same vehicle (2017 m2) with 45k miles goes for $45k - $47k.

What… the… fuq.

Wow. I would have bought that

Ive been looking at M2, Supra, even a nice older 911.
Might have to settle with a Corvette if I want some sporty car other than the STI I have and may never sell.

I bought my Kia Sportage for $13k 40k miles, and can sell it for just as much with 90k miles. Tempted to sell it and upgrade to another used Sportage, newer, warranty, and with much less miles, for around $5k

I sold my super low mile RA a little over 3 years ago for about the same price (39K), so I feel your pain. At least I held on to my S2000.

Prices for compact enthusiast cars (especially Japanese manufacturers) have risen to the point where it's no longer worth it. Fortunately, inventory is starting show up in the used market. Cars one size up (M340i, S4, RS5) seem to be dropping in value. A new M240i xDrive or low mile CPO RS5 can be had for about the same price (or less) than a marked up CTR, ITS or GRC. Crazy, but here we are. Yes, those cars will cost more to run, but modern Germans are much more reliable. If a fun car is going to cost over 50K, I may as well move up market and get something that's entertaining to drive AND nice. The premium dealership experience while under warranty is icing on the cake.

I used to be a die hard "save the manuals" zealot, but modern automatics and DCTs are really, really good (looking at you, ZF8). I'd gladly rock a M240i xDrive over a WRX or GRC any day of the week. I'll take my miata for a spin if I want to row my own for a bit.

Nice man, congrats! I can't imagine that drive though. I was nervous driving it 10 miles from the dealership to safety in 30 degree, dry weather. Not because of control, but because everyone likes to go on about how the tires will shatter like they're a 3rd grade liquid nitrogen experiment if you drive them in anything but summer heat (despite no evidence of actual issues being reported anywhere, that I could find.)

Thanks, car is now on 18" Sparco and legit snows.

First initial impressions:

I absolutely love it and can't believe how much everything is nicer than the GR Corolla was. Seats and shift feel is literally insane, gonna be a long winter waiting for warm days and summer tires.
