Thermal heat barrier on riser base and top flange and underside of manifold to prevent heat transfer and Thermal heat dispersant on everything else to help shed the heat and help keep things cooler including the air.

chuckles you have the sickest **** ive seen! besides those 2.5i manifolds those are amazing. ill have to shoot my wrx fully shaved krinkle coated and reversed on a gc. oh wait! haha i just changed that and now im thinking 2.5i mani instead...

Is it possible to do a rotated intake with the NA manny? That's my next move I think...

EDIT: nice work BTW, really.. I love how you take the opp to clean the intake of all the "junk" before you finish it.. what I did, but I wanted to keep the grind marks for the sake of it's "look" under a translucent color...

Some sample painting I did a few years back:


That's Duplicolor Metalcast red on the lower left, plain old engine block red on the center, and Duplicolor Textured Metallic graphite (I think) on the upper left. The "textured" effect is somewhat lost on the already rough-cast intake manifold, but I used the same thing on the smooth valve covers, sooo...





On my EZ30R (which has a plastic IM) I think I might do wrinkle black, and then I want to do something bright on the valve covers and the massive timing chain cover.
