Update 12/28/17
I finally got around to installing the new driveshaft and I love this thing already without even driving it! Its crazy how much lighter it is than the stock driveshaft. https://i.imgur.com/k3F1wTx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/v44rClJ.jpg Then I picked up a few other goodies when I started my brake swap and realized just how bad the other suspension parts have gotten over the years (ripped boots and cracks in the end link on the drivers side.) https://i.imgur.com/vMrfHo6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/AjxrOPj.jpg So I decided to replace a few parts and fix some of the rust to freshen up the front end and make it handle! https://i.imgur.com/GYUvICO.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6xM8spA.jpg https://i.imgur.com/omc3VMB.jpg https://i.imgur.com/S5HpUOd.jpg https://i.imgur.com/7POpG4J.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lgS8f4A.jpg

Update 1/17/18
Well the wheels came back from powder coating yesterday so I figured I'd share a few before and after pics of them as well as a small update. I think the color looks pretty good but I'm not really sure how to feel about them. I've grown so accustomed to the green wheels that anything else just seems wrong. I just need to choose a color for the calipers now. I'm stuck between matching them to be a similar gray to my car, doing purple like my engine bay or going green like my old wheels. https://i.imgur.com/xbgZKI8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Fdu4ZQT.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fbOY5Ad.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4ppX9hh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/kcisw8H.jpg Hopefully I'll have more pics soon once I get them on the car which has officially been dropped of with 3R Racing in Englewood. They're a great shop that's gonna take good care of my car. They're gonna do a bit more than initially planned though. Initially they were just going to finish paint and adjust my suspension, but Me being a dummy didn't quite realize that they would need my engine and all the weight in my car to properly adjust my suspension and do the corner balance. So now they are going to be installing practically everything including my Kognition wing and Singular fender louvers. So the next few months should see this car almost completed 100%. https://i.imgur.com/ST339do.jpg https://i.imgur.com/2fSLNBL.jpg |

Update 3/24/18
Not a ton of progress to report on this time but 3R is still moving along with their projects. The engine bay is painted, although it looks kinda rough, I don't really care lol. I'm just glad to have it all back to one color again and shiny. The underside of the hood is painted, I'm just waiting for them to paint the top of the hood and the fenders so we can move on. https://i.imgur.com/c2D2rXC.jpg https://i.imgur.com/EgvGsx3.jpg The fenders are cut for the Singular Motorsports fender louvers. I just need to do some minor work to prep them. I decided to do a quick black paint job on everyting underneath the fender so you cant see the primered beams underneath the vent and I still need to get the louvers powder coated black. https://i.imgur.com/mQOKzyx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fwuwbl3.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xNJHgJe.jpg Once the paint is done, Its going to the main shop so they can start making the brake lines for my new dual master cylinder setup from Compbrake https://i.imgur.com/CkLkqV2.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ZjFKBom.jpg |

Update 6/4/18
Good news and bad news with this one. Se the paint is finally done and 3R did a great job with it! I was also able to get a few pics of the new wheels on along with the brakes and a few other goodies. I still kinda miss the green though. https://i.imgur.com/1l2wsiz.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qAqk9ok.jpg https://i.imgur.com/dpJsAfD.jpg https://i.imgur.com/A3ciE6G.jpg https://i.imgur.com/GFYb55W.jpg https://i.imgur.com/zV1bdLn.jpg https://i.imgur.com/cQyCVpY.jpg The Fender and hood louvers also came back from powdercoating and just need to be riveted on now. https://i.imgur.com/FJCFkrs.jpg https://i.imgur.com/p1zBjgW.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4z0UkJl.jpg |

We also started getting the new dual master cylinder kit mounted and its almost ready for brake lines. we decided to keep ABS just in case and we're planning on relocating the unit underneath the master cylinders like in the second pic.
https://i.imgur.com/QHizkJE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xKG7SCX.jpg The Kognition wing finally showed up as well so that's pretty cool. this thing is a monster and looks great! https://i.imgur.com/wXvoMy6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/D8BEPr3.jpg Unfortunately that's where the good news and and the bad news begins. Today when the intake manifold came off to put the gaskets in, we noticed rust down in each of the head ports. So the spark plugs came in and we checked the engine with a borescope and found rust in each of the cylinders on the walls and the pistons. So I guess it's time to tear the engine apart and start replacing a rebuilding as necessary. I'm thinking i'll send my case halves to either IAG or Outfront to do a closed deck conversion and maybe some PNP work on the heads to remove the rust. https://i.imgur.com/cePudZv.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wcXubvk.jpg https://i.imgur.com/o88qa75.jpg https://i.imgur.com/dcvL74q.jpg |

Update 8/16/18
Not a ton of progress this time but we finally broke my engine apart to see the carnage from whatever got inside of there. It definitely looks like something was poured into my engine. I feel like if it was environmental, all cylinders would look the same. the bad cylinder even has mold in it. https://i.imgur.com/pBez9Ys.jpg https://i.imgur.com/2yKZnvB.jpg https://i.imgur.com/tRM0Sh4.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fOY2UjH.jpg https://i.imgur.com/03moFDy.jpg But on the Plus side, We started working on the ABS relocation and we have plenty of room to make everything work. The stock ABS pump bracket was cut up a bit and then mounted to the frame rail with some nutserts. https://i.imgur.com/Jmv1au8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/p0QseP9.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qB1n47B.jpg |

That motor looks brand new? Someone pissed off at work or something and poured the rest of their coffee down your intake port that had an open valve at the last shop? Where was it last?

Yeah it was a brand new engine that sat around for about 3 years. Last time I checked, when I put the TGVs on there was no rust. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if one of the kids dumped something like water inside of it. I trust the last shop though, he did great work and it was over a year ago that it was there

Thanks! you should check out and subscribe to my my other build thread. I've been updating that one more compared to this one because the car isn't entirely custom fab now.
