Default Alternator not charging batt, replaced it, problem persists...

So I may as well describe the whole situation.

About 4 months ago my ABS light started coming on and off periodically at random, eventually (about 2 months later) every error light on my dash turned on one by one until my car died. I replaced the alternator with a refurbished one from Lordco and installed a new battery which fixed the problem (for about 2 months) I am now having the same problem again. I thought id try putting in a new alt in because maybe the refurbished one I bought was faulty but unfortunatley this time it did nothing. I took a look at the fuses as well and nothing seems to be blown.

2002 Subaru Impreza WRX (EJ205) JDM Model

Having the shop look at it in a couple days but curious if anyone on here might have had something similar.

Are you positive the belt is tightened properly?

This is a common complaint the battery isn't charging, it must be the alternator, so the alternator is changed and still the battery is not charging. Charging systems are a lot more complicated than that. You need to get the car to a competent mechanic, the codes need to be pulled and the whole system examined to see why the car is not charging..

Yes I made it just as tight as the other belts

I tried to check codes but the car is an import so any domestic code readers dont work for it unfortunatley, what your saying does make sense but im just stumped as to why swapping the alt fixed the original problem at all if something else is messed up somewhere. The shop I made an appointment with has a Subaru tech (theres no subaru dealerships in town) so hopefully it won't be a waste of time.

Next thing to check is all the wiring for loose connections, corrosion, etc.

Connections all look to be good, I was reading in an older post and from my understanding if the connection to the bulb that lights up the warning light on the dash has a problem the alt will not charge. When my car is off and I turn the key over the light does not turn on but after driving for a while it will light up if im anywhere under 2000 rpm...

Jumping the black and white wire at the back of the alt to the yellow wire fixed the problem for one person but im not exactly sure what that means (I'm still very green when it comes to mechanics)

Alright so I guess I didnt look hard enough but didnt think to check there. The connection from the alt to underneath the fuse box was corroded because of a faulty wiring job. Some sanding and dielectric grease was enough to fix the problem and get a proper connection from the alt again.

Hopefully this can help someone in the future.

I'm a newer member and still can't post my own threads so I'm posting this here in hopes someone can help me with a problem I'm having. I have an 04 Impreza 2.5ts and I upgraded to a 2015 STI alternator which are supposed to output 130amperes at a set rpm(not sure what rpm) the alternator seemed to be fine for about 6 months or so until now. I have 3 JL audio 12inch subs on a Kenwood 600w RMS amp with 60amps worth of fuses and I also have a Rockford fosgate 400.4 400w amp with 40amps worth of fuses on the amplifier itself. I have a 0 guage with a 200a fuse from my battery to a distribution block with 2 100a fuses. Off each 100a fuse is a 4 guage positive to each amplifier. Both amps also have a 4 guage ground with absolutely no capacitors in the system. I like to listen to my music at 44 out of 62 volume on my pioneer deh4010BT head unit as 44 is the head units point of clipping and I listen to it steady for my 1.5 hour drive home. Usually my voltage would stay at a consistent 14.4V while dropping to a 13.8-14.0V on hard 30-40hz bass tones. All is good until a day ago when I noticed my voltages started climbing in the mid to high 15V range. I know my car pretty well and know the voltage regulator is set to keep voltage no higher than 14.7V(as far as I know). With my cars voltage being at a consistent 15.5-15.8V for about 30 minutes my battery and e-brake light then turn on... I'm stumped from here only because I've load tested the battery and it's ok. Tested the battery with a voltmeter and it read 12.62V, then turned the car on and it ran 14.44V. the voltage overcharge is completely random so far and sometimes my system stays at exactly 14.7V for hour long drives and sometimes the alternator spits out 15.8V from the moment I turn it on and won't turn off for hour long drives. I have not yet done the big 3 so maybe that would help? Maybe I have a bad voltage regulator? Maybe bad alternator altogether? I have no idea at this point and am looking for some answers.

Sorry for the long ass post, I just wanted to make sure I covered everything I could think of that consumes extra amperes.

If anyone has any answers or can direct me to a thread that might I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers
