Default Metal clunk sound from the front of my car!

Car:2005 STI
Mods: Standard BC Coilovers and Kartboy endlinks

So for a couple of months, I have been plagued with a metal clunk/ knock/ pop or whatever you wanna call it. It happened on smalls bumps, big bumps, turning, going straight but I had never been able to replicate it until today.

Here is what I do to reproduce the noise:

1. Turn the wheel all the way to the left
2. Hop on the front driver's side door sill and jump on it a couple of times
3. Repeat step 2, but on the front passenger side instead

So I noticed that step 2 seems to "load" the knock because it won't happen if I don't perform that step. Also, if I wait too long to transition to step 3 the knock won't occur. It seems I have to transition from step 2 to 3 almost immediately. Lastly, the knock sounds like something is clicking in place if that makes any sense

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Possibly bad bearing in the top mount

Yeah, I was going to say, check your strut bolt for loosening or it could be in the top hat assembly

Thanks for the reply guys! I actually found the issue. It was my driver's side endlink! I'm not sure how but the endlink would shift ever so slighty (barely visible and I really mean barely lol) and produce a crazy loud knock. Its a Kartboy endlink and it looks like the bushing are on there way out!

I'm replacing most of my suspension for the same reason.. I can't pinpoint the clunks and dings. I did recently replace the ball joints and half the clunks went away.

You would be surprised how many accusatory emails I get with "this didn't make noise with my stock suspension" and 9.9/10 times it is end links

Found bad sway bar bushings at fault for the front end clunk before. Unable to reproduce the noise unless driving initially but with more wear was able to manually reproduce it.
New bushings solved what new endlinks did not.
