"Trunk release for the RCTA"? WTF

And missed the grocery bag hooks in the back. Points out the obvious things. SOOOOO many people miss those. Would be nice for someone who knows the car to have been there to point out the actual changes to some things. Noticed new hooks in the back.

Yeah. Can't you ask your boss to send you there, and do a detailed walk through?

90% of these car Youtubers who get media passes to all the big car shows do such a terrible job of presenting the car. Most of them don't know squat about cars except that they go from point A to point B.

Most egregious offense was that Redline Reviews guy (funny channel name for someone who doesn't understand how a motor works, btw). In reviewing the STi Type RA he stated that there's a button on the wheel that turns on the misters that shoot water into the intake...he was referring to the water spray for the intercooler

I wish. I'd also have to contend with my primary job. The dealership is a side gig. I am sure I could easily make it work; but, then I'm also sure the boss has no interest in sending me to New York. I was happy he sent me to SOA headquarters years ago to see their Attic(museum/warehouse) cars. But, that is another story(and a thread back in 2011).

More garish black plastic on the rear bumper as well. Plus the WTF roof rack ugliness. Man, I mean people saying this is basically a Legacy wagon need to get their head examined. This thing looks like ass. Legacy wagons were good looking. Nothing to work with here. ****.

I like it as well. I do really like the new design rack, though wish for a different functionality versus the system they've had since 2013; but, think they do look better now. Especially the painted option. I'm personally not a fan of the look without them(like the Touring). Overseas versions I saw I always cringed. Then we got one. Yuck.

Yeah.. Knowing what I know now, I would've gotten an 2018 3.6R Limited instead of a Touring. I spent extra $$ to get the cross bar but that thing howls in the wind like no other. However, I really did want the heated steering wheel and auto on all windows, which was only available in the Touring trim.

If it gets enough stuff that I like, I would upgrade to the XT Touring.

Ventilated seat (confirmed)
Heated Steering wheel (confirmed)
One touch lock on power lift gate (confirmed)
Power folding mirrors (unconfirmed)
Rain sensing wipers (unconfirmed)

Would be nice:
Wireless Android Auto (unconfirmed)
Qi charger (doubt it)

So you're looking at it as a Legacy wagon and not an Outback wagon?

Wind noise aside, IF a person does use their crossbars, then depending on the usage, I think the Touring setup is more useful. Can mount more things side by side versus the integrated system. And the adjustments alone are better. If I want them 2 inches apart, I can. You have 2 positions with the integrated ones.

I am clearly missing something. You seem to be complaining about the cladding. Saying people that call this a Legacy wagon(essentially is) need to be examined, then saying you like it as an Outback. Yes, I am missing something here.

The return of the turbocharged engines to the Legacy/Outback are certainly exciting.. I wonder what the 0-60 time will be for these cars. As an owner of a 05 Outback XT with a 5 speed, it amazes me every time I put my foot down and the car easily overtakes most cars.

I only want my Inno roof rack, which fits perfectly on the integrated one. I don't know how much wind noise it has but the Touring + Thule rack creates this high pitch wind noise, which make it so that I hate putting my windows down or open the sunroof. It's really annoying.

I don't know how hard it would be; but, for the cost of those dang things, I'd thought they could be designed "more" aerodynamically as to not make that much noise.

Yeah.. I haven't tried to fiddle with the distance of the cross bar. My original thought when I bought the cross bars, so I can remove it whenever and install it when needed. But those cross bars are so pain in the ass to install, I ended up just leaving it on.
