Thanks! Yes, I do need an instructor. I installed bucket seats because the stock seats just sits too high but I have retained both stock seatbelts on both sides as I still daily drive the car. I'm just worried it won't pass the tech since I read I still need harnesses and roll bar with fixed back seats. Not really sure how NASA decides if that setup is safe enough. Any input will be appreciated.

So I'd say the biggest thing with aftermarket seats and 3 point belts is that the lap belt passes THROUGH the lap belt holes and not OVER the top of the seat sides. It will likely require unbolting the outboard seatbelt bolts and feeding the belt through that hole. Also keeping the shoulder belt unrestricted and not stuck or at a wacky angle against the shoulder bolsters. Should be ok if you run it like that. If in doubt, post a picture up here or email the club hosting the event. Good luck getting the car back in time, hope to see you there! |

There's a bunch of stuff being held at Nelson Ledge's now, which is right about at that 6 hour distance from DC. Also on June 22 there is a Time Trial in the afternoon at PittRace. Its going to be VERY busy up there with an autox, TNiA (held in the morning?), F3/F4 races and the time trial. There's also an EMRA event at PittRace Sept. 7-8.

Added a bunch of events in August, September and October.
At this point I don't think I'll get back out until the end of August. |

Ah I wish! I was there last month, definitely a fun track! Forgot my gloves and a few other things, but still had a good time.
I'm planning a day at Club Motorsports, that newer track up in NH early September. It's a hike for me, so I'm sure it'd also be a hike for Mid-Atlantic guys, but I figured I'd toss it out there. |

Saw this on FB this morning - https://www.kaizenautosport.com/nove...ourse-trackday. Pretty expensive for just one day, but with only 2 run groups there will be plenty of time on track. And you get a catered lunch, too, so that's nice.

There's an Instructor clinic & Advanced Track day at Dominion November 23rd. $150 for advanced/Solo drivers only. I might just do it.
