Hey folks!

Rally WV is just around the corner and it's looking to be an awesome event this year hosted at Snowshoe Resort in Snowshoe, WV. The last time the rally was run occurred in 2008 in Elkins, WV, so the volunteer base is a little soft because momentum has been lost. Well what can you do?

We need you to come out and help out! Get an awesome seat right on stage, meet the drivers, codrivers, and riders. Hang out and have awesome parties with all of the rally folks. Take lots of great photos. Commit lots of great things to memory.
To sweeten the deal, I'll be glad to lend out the floor of my rockin' rally mansion that I've rented for the weekend free-of-charge to the first 7 people that commit. What does that get you? Digs with the Dirty Rallysport crew (Wages/Ciascai), USUK Racing(Wright/Wright), and possibly even Quantum Motorsport (Wimpey/Wimpey) and their crews. Which means free beer for you! (Small print: First-come first-serve.)

So sign up, and come on out. We need you guys to volunteer or the race won't happen! We do it FOR the volunteers, but can't do it without them either!

What more do you need to know?

Volunteer signup at http://nasarallysport.com/nrsdb

I've still got one or two more free spots on the floor of the rally mansion for volunteers. First-come-first serve for reservations.

The event still needs hams, marshals, and control volunteers in many scenic spots. Course cars and stage captains needed too.

Please come out and help: http://www.rallywv.com/volunteersignup.html

My recommendation: if you have a group of folks, rent a condo. There are oodles of websites that rent out that stuff. Your price per head for the weekend will be around $75 if you do it right.

I ended up renting a massive place as we have a few teams that will be splitting it and we travel with quite an entourage.

If you're flying solo - look into a room at the Snowshoe Inn.

I am looking at the stage map for day 2 and the spectator areas are not clearly labeled, are they where the blue arrows are? (think these are the just SS names)

No Problem Griffen, now it's your job to marshal me to the correct area The last thing I want is to create my own spectator area at a random hairpin on the stage

So what's anyone's best suggestion for a room up there? The plan is to arrive on Saturday and stay over into Sunday. Ideally, I'd like to be in the middle of things. I was browsing around on their website and looking at the map, I wasn't too sure where would be the best place to stay.

Couldn't get Friday off of work. :/

If your by yourself I'd check the hotel at the bottom of the hill. If your with a group try www.snowshoevacationrentals.com We got the best deals on a condo from them.

I know someone contemplating going but doesn't have a room yet. If you find a 2 bedroom condo and want to split it, PM me and I'll give you his phone #.

Found a decent one for 80 bucks a night for me and my gf. Wish they did single nights.

Found out there is a BBQ/Beer/Blues festival there too. I vow to not be too hungover.

might have to talk the wife into going to this since it really isn't too far for me. If i don't make it i will hopefully see some of you on your way there. The directions on Snowshoe's website from Nova and D.C. area has everyone going right through the middle of my hometown. Be careful because as mentioned earlier the local police departments will be waiting for any out of staters in loud import cars to go 1 mile over the speed limit. Between Petersburg and the Cass area is some really fun twisty roads, unless you get behind the poultry trucks then it sucks.
