Default Installed New Linkage assembly: Wipers dont work

Hello

I searched but cant find.

I drive an 03 wrx wagon. Before the wipers worked but at speed the wipers would become sloppy and hit my A pillar.

I pulled the assembly and found that the wiper linkage bushing were shot.

I ordered a new linkage assembly.. Just got done swapping the old motor onto the new assembly making sure to draw a line and match it to the arrow. I turned on my wipers with the cowl off and wipers off and assembly moved back and forth effortlessly, thought everything was good to go so I put platics back and added wipers.

Now when I turn the wipers on they appear to move down a little and then stop moving.

I removed and reattached wipers in hopes of that helping but it didnt.

Am I doing it wrong? I do it with the car off should I not?

Please help its cold and im grumpy.
