OK, new AFR sensor installed. Runs even worse. Sputtering and Puttering ..barely able to get up to 3500 RPM, now it actually feels like its running on 1 cylinder. 5 miles of driving took 1/4 tank off the fuel gauge.

Codes for 2,3,4 cyclinders. ( Not #1 now tho)

UGGGG- Whats next?

I think now's the point you have it properly diagnosed by a Subaru familiar mechanic. The money you pay them to diag is likely less than will be to keep throwing stuff at it that won't fix it.

My next suspicion would be fuel....maybe FPR

Well, since im a sucker for punishment, i picked up a FPR after reading that a bad FPR can throw multi misfires. 3 hours later, at midnight last night, the test drive broke my heart. Same situation, and oddly, still runs better with MAF unplugged ( new MAF )

So a tow she will get today!

Dont you hate it when the shop finds the problem in 45 min?

Maybe all me prework helped speed them up ( ill tell myself that)

They dialed it down to Fuel injector #2. Replaced that and its back to normal. Must have been spewing fuel.

----------sigh.... but

Awesome, glad they were able to find it so quickly!

That being said, 1 bad injector could mean others may have their problems.

I ended up just replacing all 4 of mine proactively around 60k miles on my '07 FXT with Denso replacements.

Yeah, not a bad idea. The mechanic said teh *new MAF And Coil were the wrong part #s... not really sure how that could happen, but ok. Will update when the car is back in my hands! Next Stop, Rallitek 2" Lift!

yew.

So- Car is back up and runing well. The stuck open injector was the culprit. Glad that is behind me.

2" lift is looking solid! 225/65/17 Falken ATs all buttoned up.. Just woking out some slight clearance issues.

NOW, the clutch is going out! YAY- The fun never ends.

Any idea if i should just be getting Exedy KSB03 ? The motor is the EJ25 from an 04 STI, So do i get the clutch that matches the tranny, or the clutch that matches the motor ?
