Default AEM Water meth filter 30-3003

I bought this filter to help keep contaminants out of the nozzle.

It says to install it on the low pressure side of the pump (between the tank and the pump) but if you do that then water/meth comes pouring out by gravity any time I go to change the filter.

My tank is above my pump. After my pump (on the high pressure side) I have a solenoid that stops the meth from gravity flowing to the engine.

Any ideas? A shut off valve seems kind of hokey but?

do you really need to clean it much? its not like gas where it can have all kinds of garbage in it. just give it a few extra inches of tubing so you can lift it above the water level when taking it apart.

I made the mistake of running the tank empty once and it Clogged the check valve. Other than that I’ve never had any issues. I wanted the filter as a precaution. Not a lot of room for extra line though. Still sitting on the bench. I switched to wiper fluid which I’ve heard is not as clean as boost juice. I much prefer 5050 but I can’t justify the cost.
