So packed er up on the trailer and off we went to the show.

Exclamation

Well...it's been a number of years since my last update.
2018 there are now a lot of subarus running in the 8s/9s.
Never thought I'd see drag racing subarus so popular again!

The Subaru community now has White Bullet running 7 second passes on a 6 speed manual transmission which is incredible.
Hopefully Roly in 2019 and raise the bar even more

Lot of changes to my little coupe over the last few years.
Previously on the 6 speed: https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2549586

The AWIC was becoming very cumbersome so decided to go back to a fmic.
Other changes include a TRP Rigoli auto transmission with trans-brake and a lot of nitrous.
Biggest change was re-configuring the front end completely.

Car is ready to rock and roll for 2019.
Will keep this thread updated as things progress.

Unhappy Ben You Screwed Me!!!!

Long story short I bought this 5mt / 1-4 helical PPG transmission from a very active user on Nasioc 7 years ago. Never really finished my build to last year. After a tune of 370 whp. Just under 3k easy driven miles the transmission stripped 2nd gear.
Wasn’t happy with car and it sat another year until recently. Ive rebuilt 5mt’s in the past and are very familar with them. Never have built a PPG though. Please check the pics and let me know if this looks like stock input, main shafts, gears ect... I have compared lots of pics. I am trying not to Freak out and handle this like an adult... lol

7 years ago dude? I think its a little past the statute of limitations. Good luck with the rebuild those gears are not cheap and why Ive never gone for one. For the whole set 1-4 its more money than a used 6 speed in good condition.

That being said the 6 speed is heavy and it would be worth it if you had a lightweight 5 speed that could hold. But 5 speed often develop center diff issues so its more than just the gears..
