B&B Meet - oh yes, the time has come
So,
Who remembers the B&B meets from years ago? Some life changes for me recently has brought back some fond memories of time spent with Subaru enthusiasts. I think our first meet was back in 2003. My 2002 WRX finally met it's maker, luckily my wife was only shaken and my two girls were not in the car. I got a message from Hypa a few weeks ago and he mentioned that there was a Facebook group going but since I don't do Facebook I thought I'd post on here. So, who's into meeting up and catching up with old friends? It can be anywhere, lets make it epic. Gethin.

Oh buddy!! Your email actually made me login on here which I haven't done in years!! Lol...
As one of the original B&B founders I'd say I'm definitely in!! As an aside, I take it by your post that the decision has been made on the car. I am incredibly sorry for your loss |

Yes RIP Scooby.
Nobody was hurt and that is all that matters. When I took that call from you that day the tone of your voice just made time stand still. I've known you for a long time and It's amazing when you can instinctively tell **** ain't right. I have lots of great memories in the car, getting it brand new from Specialty Subaru, from my first NASIOC meet up Seymour in 2002 with the Turbo glowing red when I got to the top, reverse engineering the Subaru ECU and editing the ROM files using a binary HEX editor before the COBB Accessport or OpenECU and Tactrix were available). Then working at Rocket Rally working on the DynoDynamics Dyno and road tuning with ECUTEK and COBB and UTEC, testing anti-lag MOTEC ECU's and breaking in Pat's XGames COBB short block car (which he drove against Travis Pastrana and Colin McRae) and going to rallies across North America with them, then working at EA BlackBox making changes to the Need for Speed game physics engine using my Subaru engine mapping experience. Good times. But what have I been doing since 2009? Come to the next B&B to find out Last edited by Gethin; 11-12-2019 at 12:04 AM. Reason: details |
