Default Crosstrek BASE 2.0 timing chains

Could use some help. Replacing the timing chains. Had all the marks lined up on all 4 cams and crank marks were at 6 o’clock on the crank. Unbolted the passenger side tensioner and came of perfectly. Went to the drivers side chain and unbolted the tensioner. Pulled it off no problem. Started to remove the chain from the crank sprocket and both driver side cams rotated as if they were under pressure from the valves. They rotated what seems like 45 degrees in Opposite directions maybe? So is this normal? Was I not on TDC #1? Any suggestions how to get this lined up right without taking the cams out? Drivers side Intake cam rotates from 5 o’clock to somewhere near 12. Drivers exhaust has the same range but flipped from like 2 o’clock to 6.
