Would be possible to lay a set of GC6 SOHC (MY00-MY01 2.5RS) head gaskets on this block and get a picture?

I am sure people would be interested in the same thing for a WRX headgasket.

I would assume that this would show any differences in the mating surfaces and identify which heads could bolt to these blocks.

Thanks.

These are the US STI blocks, 2.5L, I just picked one up yesterday. Weigh 43kgs . Should use the same engine mounts as any other Subaru. Still need to get pricing on the head gasket

Work... ahhh... so tired.

They will work with wrx heads... but with out some major port work and longer deration cams youll have a nice low reving truck like motor. Hardly idea for anything...

Hi Pam

This is Disraeli, DJ, please let me know if these will work bolt on into a 2.5 SOHC

What about the internal parts, are they forged from factory? all of them rod, crank and pistons?

Thanks

DJ

Forged crank, forged rods, semi-closed deck block. Hyperutectic pistons. The V8 STi motors elsewhere also use hyperutectic pistons instead of forged ones.
