My 2010 subaru Impreza wrx is running dry within 300 miles. It has 160k miles. No leak spots or anything it has to be burning. With the research I've done apparently it's a common thing to slowly consume oil. The more miles the worse it gets is basically what I found out.

Hoping to bump this thread.. my story starts with small quantity of oil on the boots of the spark plugs to cylinders 1 & 3. I replaced all 4 with NGK cold step as well as the passenger side valve cover gasket (used silicone sealant).

I also cleaned my SF intake with K&N red oil. After startup I heard a medium-pitched squealing/screech sound and the car was throwing P0102 & P0113 codes.

Any prognoses? Thanks!

I'm averaging between 1 and 1.5qts lost per oil change on my 2014 WRX

mine burns about a quart every 6k. So when the oil light comes on I know it's time for an oil change
