TWrex: That's Peter Croney's (ScoobySport, UK) WRX with 18" wheels, 50mm offset and 225/35 Bridgestone SO2s all around, lowered 40mm front and 35mm rear with Leda Bs. Phew. They should work on the US-Spec WRX. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/Foru...ML/000298.html

Man, if that was my EVO, I'd crap my pants on a daily basis!!! Unfortunately I like in N.A. like the rest of you. I hope that Mitsu brings the EVO, that would rule.

I just read that the Evo 7 is coming to the states with 280hp for $27,000. And it will be released at the New York Auto Show in April and be available in September as a 2002 model. Does anyone know if this is
%100 fact?

I highly doubt that the evo 7 will come in a 280 hp trim. I would think more around 230-250.

Hey FlashJordan, you did it! You actually got me to change my mind about the looks of the 2002. To bad you have to drop it on gold wheels and add a WRC spoiler to do it though.

Ok when you get to that site click on auto shows and then go down to the bottom which is auto shows in april. Then look across in the third column and it shows what cars they are releasing at that show.
Sorry for the trouble.

Cool

Don't get too excited yet guys. My take on that is just that they are advertising showing the EVO VII at the show, not that it's going on sale anytime soon.

I do believe that Mitsubishi is going to take keen interest in WRX sales though, and perhaps we're going to see the EVO over here in another year or two. I doubt we'll get the 280 hp version for the same reasons that we're not yet getting the 280 hp STi WRX. Lets keep our fingers crossed, though.

SubaMan: To me, all the 22b is, is a standard Impreza with some flared fenders. But I guess you could say that about the EVO to I'd kill to have either cars...

Regarding the EVO:

If you look on that Mitsu auto show calendar page, you'll see that the EVO appears not just in April, but also at the February Chicago show (which already happened). At the Chicago show, the EVO they had there was the full-fledged rally car, not a production concept.

I think that saying that the EVO is coming is pure speculation at this point. I'd be psyched if it did show up, though. I would definitely buy one, but it'd have to do at least 230+ HP.
