I haven't tried it myself, but I saw this in the instructions:

NOTE: sometimes they are still taped over with some small amount of plastic tape, so look hard, they will be there!

Yeah, I read that too so I spent about half an hour last night under my dash digging for it and I couldn't find anything resembling it. The instructions are from Australia (RHD models), but I'd imagine if I found 3 of the plugs the 4th one is around somewhere.

Penphoe> Did you have the guts to try the procedures with only the green connectors connected? What year is your RS?

Question Can't find one ECU Check Connector...

According to the ECU Reset instructions at MRT they say to locate the 2 male/female sets of ECU Check Connectors under the dash (one small green set and one larger black set), hook them together, depress gas pedal to floor for a few seconds, start car and drive for > 1 minute at > 11Km/h and your check engine light will flash "all clear" (1/2 second interval flashes). I like this ECU reset better than the "unplug the battery for a while" because it gives more feedback. I found all connectors under the dash except the black female connector. The other 3 connects are all in the same branch of the wire bundle under the dash but I can't find the last one. Anyone ever use this ECU reset technique? Oh, BTW, I've got an '01 RS Sedan.

MagicMT> Aside from pulling a battery cable (which I hate using as an ECU reset because it provides no feedback if it worked or not), I still haven't found the 4th ECU Check Connector under the dash. Someone mentioned using an OBDII unit, but I've checked some OBD websites and they don't mention having an ECU reset function (www.obdii.com, www.obd2.com, etc).

Good luck!
