Default Cobb PROTUNER Release?

Hey all,

Has anyone heard anything about when Cobb is going to release Protuner?

Bump... You'd think they'd get copies of Protuner out a little faster so the shops could have time to master the new software.

OK, havent really been paying attention for a while. PROTuner will allow shops to tune our AP's correct? If so, how does it stack up to other types of EM in terms of what it can modify? Thanks!

And yes, before the same person asks the same question for the millionth time, FIS will be getting the ProTUNER beta. Once they're comfortable with it I'm sure they'll let others know.

With that, shops can custom tune for any setup you want, and all should have to pay is for their time. There is no licensing fee we charge for using the software.

We will release a Stage3 map when we have all of our products for Stage3 ready. Not all parts are created equal, and not all cars are created equal. If there was even a small measure on consistency between cars at this level we could easily push out a map and be done with it. However, the only way we're going to be able to do so is to offer a very SPEC group of parts and yes, if our off-the-shelf Stage3 map doesn't work for your hodge-podge of parts then you'll have to visit a ProTUNER or buy the StreetTUNER to fine tune your setup. Even if you buy a UTEC the higher staged maps are detuned. Anytime you get to that level you're only doing yourself and your car a disservice by not making sure its running right. After all the money spent in parts, the cost of the tune should be very minor.

Cheers,
Trey @ COBB [/QB]
