Default '16 WRX - ACT release bearing total failure

Hey all, quick release bearing story for ya.

Bought my '16 WRX back in late 2017. Attached some of the normal bolts-on, currently running MAP's Stage 2 93 (runs pretty well btw).

Installed the ACT SB11-XTSS clutch kit back in Oct 2019, used the included bearing. The setup was running great, I was pretty pleased with it overall. The stiff pedal feel was fun, the clutch engaged fast - was an entertaining daily driver.

Then this week it developed the chirping sound. No noticeable event that I can recall, I just started hearing it when I was idling. It didn't seem to be constant, I wasn't even sure that it was the TOB at first. And then a few days later it totally grenaded while driving. Had to call in a favor for a tow to my nearest friend's house.

Pulled the engine to assess the damage. Overall, looks like the bearing torpedo'd, ground into the snout a bit, and dug at the fingers on the plate but not badly. The clutch has some wear but still has life. The pressure plate and flywheel have some hot spots but no obvious warping and no grooves. The grooves on the input shaft are fine. I'm thinking most of the kit is still usable, but might not be a perfect driving experience.

I've reached out to ACT about a warranty RMA, but I'm not holding my breath. Their website doesn't seem warranty friendly. Anyone have experience doing a RMA with them? Would they consider the TOB a wear-out part, or will they consider the whole kit? The WRX is currently at my friend's garage, I don't really want to leave it there for several weeks waiting for a warranty.

I've also purchased the TSK3 Kit from PDM for the oversized bearing/snout repair. Anyone have experience with this on an ACT clutch kit?

Here are the pictures as I took the parts out, nothing cleaned.

Some scraping on the pressure plate fingers

Disk side of the pressure plate, still smooth

Flywheel, still smooth

Clutch disk - flywheel side, some wear there for sure
