Default Rear Drive Axle Shaft Seal

Hey guys. So i have a leak at where the rear drivers CV axle connects into the rear diff. I have replaced the passenger front CV axle but the rear doesn't seem to be the same way. I have seen a few videos showing how to replace the rear CV axle and a video showing how to replace the front Drive Axle Shaft Seal BUT not the rear. My biggest question is do i have to drain the rear diff to get to the seal and take off the 5 bolt housing to get the seal?
