Arrow Presenting the AWE Exhaust Suite for Subaru VA/GV STIs. Available now!

Presenting the AWE Exhaust Suite for Subaru VA/GV STIs. Available exclusively through RallySportDirect.com.

BOXER® uncorked:
  • Proudly engineered, designed, and manufactured in-house at AWE, in the USA
  • Rasp-free, aggressive BOXER® tone without the drone
  • Max gains of 11 hp and 11 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels
  • Available as Touring or Track Edition Cat-back Exhausts
  • Touring Edition features AWE's proprietary drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®, tuned specifically for the EJ25
  • Handcrafted from 3" CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-sourced .065" wall T304L stainless steel
  • Direct bolt-on for factory-like simplicity
  • Less is more: clean, straight-through design maximizes performance
  • 102mm quad tips available in chrome silver or diamond black
  • Perfect fitment, guaranteed
  • AWE No Check Engine Light Guarantee
  • Lifetime warranty

The Options:

Touring Edition Exhaust:

A direct bolt-on, full 3" straight-through design. The Touring Edition allows the WRX / STI to deliver its famous rumble without rasp or in-cabin drone, while introducing intoxicating crackles when shifting, thanks to AWE's proprietary drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®. This configuration compliments the EJ25 is every way. Seriously.

Sound Perfection: AWE 180 Technology®

Perfect tone, compliments of AWE 180 Technology®.

As exhaust gases exit the EJ25 engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.

Track Edition Exhaust:

For those looking for take it to 11, and leaving it there, go Track.

The Track Edition retains all of the precision engineering from the Touring Edition, minus the AWE's 180 Technology®. The result? Unfiltered BOXER® rumble both in and out of the cabin.

This version is known to get rowdy, and may be too much for many. For that reason, this particular version cannot be returned due to sound preference. Prepare yourself.

Conversion Kits:

We made it easy to convert from a Track Edition to a Touring Edition, or vice versa, if you decide at a later date to turn it up, or turn it down.

Tip Options:

All tip options include the AWE logo and double-walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.
  • 102mm slash-cut chrome silver tips
  • 102mm slash-cut diamond black tips

What's in the box?

Complete Touring or Track Edition Exhaust, four 102mm tips in chosen finish, and all necessary hardware for installation.

1500 usd for an exhaust that uses exhaust clamps rather than bolted or v band. Welds look like MIG welds as well. Grimmspeed gives you a full Tig welded catback, with 1/2" flanges and for a cheaper price. I don't know about others but exhaust clamp systems usually leak a bit no matter what.

Hi, Del!

Pricing (and quick fulfilment) can be found over at RallysportDirect right here. 180 Technology® sets the Touring Edition in a league of its own.

We find slip-fits beneficial due to not requiring a gasket or additional bolts to hold them together, and their adjustability -- which flanges cannot achieve. When properly designed and installed, they will not leak.

Is 180 degree technology marketing wank for "we played with the perforation of a straight through muffler for a while till it sounded better"?

I'm still not seeing $1,500 worth of exhaust.

Be careful with these guys...

Im going to leave it at that. Not trying to be "that guy," but I will refuse to let anyone endure the same headache I went through with them back when I owned a VW.

Funny, but negative. It's a proprietary design which uses Helmholtz principals.

There's nothing to be weary of. Unsure of who you are or what said headache involved in the past, but I wish I was around to help ya. Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

Appreciate your opinion. Keeping manufacturing in-house doesnt allow us the luxury to go bottom dollar as if they were made overseas. If you're ever in PA, I invite you to come spend some time at our facility

Default Track to Touring Conversion

Good Morning. I recently installed the AWE Track cat back on my 2018 STI. Love the sound but the drone and volume are a little too much. I saw that you have a track to touring conversion kit listed on your web site, but not much more information.

Can you provide a link or some details please.

Happy Fourth!

Sure thing. The conversion kit simply consists of the rear 180 Technology® resonators (axle-back portion) of the Touring Edition Exhaust.

Look out for a reply to your email.

Your exhaust sounds excellent and looks beautiful!

Maybe you can help or provide insight on my particular case. I have the Invidia Q300 Turboback, which is pretty loved throughout the Subaru Community. Unfortunately, because of my equal length Killer Bee headers, I have an annoying drone.
How does your catback/turboback fight the drone battle with an equal length header, which completely changes the tone of the vehicle?

Thanks for the kind words.

Even though we developed on the factory header configuration, I am confident 180 Technology® will do its job.

If you're a fan of rowdy, then that would be your dose of steel. If you're worried about drone, definitely go Touring -- rowdy on the outside but not in the cabin.

I had a full race exhaust on my civi si and I believe it was pretty loud. I like the 4 in tips and that it has a resonator so it’s not quite a straight pipe. I’m tied between Corsa, borla or the track version.

Interesting dilemma. The aforementioned systems would be in the same "class" as our Touring Edition, not our Track. Given the aforementioned, I would strongly consider the Touring Edition (seriously).
