Default New Impreza hatch. Never had paint this thin.

I have had three Subaru cars. 2010 Outback, 2015 WRX, and now a 2019 Impreza hatch. I have never seen paint this thin on a Subaru. The hood is avg of 78um. Some spots are 60-70um. The WRX and Outback were all in the 110-130um range.

I dont see many polishing weekends going into this Impreza, the clear wont last.

Now its just a few weeks old, I plan on super light polish with essence and then ceremic coat it. Its not going to stay nice with polishing and wax jobs.

My 12 feels like that it’s chipped to hell on the front.

do older subarus (03-07) have paint this thin as well? I'm thinking about buying an STI within those year models.

Anyone know a good place to get touch-up paint?
Duplicolor doesn't make anything for my paint (CS3). Anyone had any luck using online touchup pens? There are a couple out there... touchupdirect.com, automotivetouchup.com, paintscratch.com, and supposedly "Subaru" selling touch up paint on Amazon.
Also, a little hesitant to get a brush, since there are some bigger spots that need love..but at that point its just a ****ty paintjob, as opposed to touchups.

Back when I had the ole' girl (2015 wrx) I use' to hose er' off with the sprinklers once a week. No use in tryin' to scrub-a-dub this workin' gal if ya know what I mean !

I seen all these guys givin' the elbow grease with the detailin' bisness, to no use! She's got paint thinner than dick skin!

I tell ya boys, I hear ur pain! Try the sprinkler trick, makes' life easier n works every time !
