If we're talking about the XTi then yes, that one had a transitional color pattern.

I've been using it since it was "fruity loops" around 1998-99 or so.

I just jumped into a Music Theory class and should be done in a few months or less I'm hoping. What kind of music do you make? I've played around with fruity loops here and there since 2006 but never got into the foundations of composing a full track.

Does anyone with a Stage 2 LGT wanna take me for a ride? |

The lgt transmissions are substantially stronger than WRX trannys.

05+ LGT & 06+ WRX are the same except ratios and VSS outputs. 02-05 are the "glass" transmissions.

The 05+ LGT transmissions and the 08+WRX transmissions were the same, the 06-07 WRX (3.70)transmissions got a different final drive then the 02-05 WRX(3.90) transmissions but had the same gear ratios if I remember correctly, they weren't all that much stronger then the 05 WRX transmissions and had there share of failures just like the 02-05's did, granted the 05 wrx trans was better then the 02 trans but they could break easier then the 05+LGT trans would.

The '06-'07 WRXs have the same gears as a FXT, but a longer final drive. The same goes for the OBXT and the '08+ WRX. 4.44FD is extremely short. It'll feel peppy down low, but will die towards the top end. Don't forget if you're swapping transmissions, you have to have a matching rear differential or swap the guts. The rear differential final drive must match the final drive of the transmission. |

so the word is that LGT trannys are the same as WRX trannys in terms of strength when comparing same year models. 06 LGT/06 WRX

All this tranny talk. You'd think there were a bunch of cross dressers in here.
My purchased new 2002 Bugeye is on stock transmission, stock internals and stock turbo. Coming up on 130,000 miles, 50K of those on a stage 2+. Multiple championships in multiple disciplines, year after year. The car is on display and performing at pretty much every local event. I've never had an issue, knock on wood. I've heard a lot of flak about "glass trannys" but nary a mention of the massive amount of mods and boosted horsepower and SEVERE LACK of DRIVER MOD. Everyone looking for a scapegoat when they should be looking in the mirror. The car didn't mod itself, it didn't launch itself with 5000 rpm clutch dumps and it sure as heck didn't miss shifts and break shift forks trying to jam the next gear. OWN UP people. |

I would agree, but Subaru is not infallible, despite what you would have us believe. Faults happen, and it's not always the driver.

All the talk about transmissions I think has to do with which transmission can put up with more abuse compared to this other transmission. And overall - the older ones aren't as forgiving when compared to the newer ones with the LGT gearset. |
