Wasn't there an AWD SuperCharged Previa offered? I know Hoovie had a SC one last year, can't recall if it was AWD or not.

With the Sienna and Pacifica both offering AWD I feel Kia is missing the boat here.

It's even more of an odd decision considering they already have that vehicle. It's called Palisade/Telluride.

The only difference between this and those two are the sliding doors. This is coming from someone who has a Palisade parked in the garage as we speak.

It's been a while since I've watched the other van reviews. I would imagine the majority mini van shoppers don't care about AWD. But would care about the boat load of interior features such as the very modern rear seat entertainment system.

Japan has some nice, posh minivans as well.

Would rock. But here we get regular minivans and giant commercial-ish vans and nothing between.

I friggin love Japanese luxury minivans, I know they were the baller equivalent of westerners driving around in Range Rovers elsewhere in the world.

Vehicles I would import under the 25 year rule in a hypothetical future where this made any sense:

- V12 Toyota Century with wool interior
- The modern Japanese market anniversary edition 70 series
- Toyota GranAce with those fabulous seats

I test drove a new Land Cruiser Heritage Edition yesterday while the Highlander was getting inspected. While it was very nice and I would like it, I just can’t justify paying that much for a vehicle. If I was comfortable paying almost $100k for something, it’s what I would get.

My car is running fine so I think I’ll keep it another year. Then I’ll get either a new 4Runner (assuming redesigned then) or something electric. Since we will keep the highlander for a while and it can handle our road trips, I could manage with an electric.

the Japanese know of my tastes

and it would fit in the garage!

but realistically my Land Cruiser is just fine.

That's awesome!

https://classiccarsbay.com/1994-mits...-diesel-133675

The Delica L400 (so 1994-2006, not that any but the first few years are 25 year eligible at this point) in high roof Crystal Lite flavor is amazing. A tall minivan, about 81" tall, diesel, 4WD with low range, fold flat seats.

Why did we not get such awesome vehicles on these shores? The Japanese knew what's up with #vanlife way before our bro-dudes caught on.

Edit: Given my headroom obsession, if I ever went down the Delica Space Gear L400 rabbit hole it looks like I'll need one with a height adjustable seat, so 6/96 build date or later per this thread.

can haz Mazda Bongo Friendee plz

Small turbodiesel, 4x4, slushbox, tall-minivan seating layout + that optional OEM pop up roof.

It’s like an alternate universe where the Astro van and its ilk continued to be improved.

There's a Delica owners club in BC. They used to descend on the Olympic Peninsula via the Victoria-Port Angeles ferry every year, so they'd flood into town for a week each summer (back in the before times). Really cool camping rigs.
