I'd like to update this and give my reviews since I've had both u-joints and currently have the solid bushings
Solid u-joint >no more shifter slop while in gear >takes some effort to shift >shifts feel more solid > lots of NVH, I mean a lot Bearing u-joint (currently in car) >no NVH >shifter slides into gear >some side to side play, still, but nothing like the oem unit >shifts feel solid >did I mention no NVH? All in all I'm very happy with my choice to switch to the bearing U-joint. It's a comfort thing really. Full blown race car, solid all the way. Street car, daily driver, or car you use for dates- get the bearing u-joint

I want to install their bearing u-joint for sure, especially seeing that the NVH is fine. Did you have a similar experience kenliu84?
I am doing an OEM+ legacy build. I don't want no extra NVH but enhanced shifter experience. I am thinking just the bearing Ti u-joint and leave the other bushings stock (or replace with groupN); thoughts? |
