Lol, I would need your rifle to dial in a good load. I don't do mass reloading though.

Now I can cross "reference the gun maker from Man with the Golden Gun" off my list. |

i just picked up an fn 509 tactical. im going to sell my suppressor ready P07 to pay for most of it. i tossed a pile of cajun gun works trigger parts at it, but im still pretty meh about. so down the road it goes! i tried shooting a glock with an rmr and had trouble finding the dot, so ill take a deltapoint pro off of one of my uppers and see how it goes on this. ill end up using irons if the optic doesnt come up naturally.

What didn’t you like about the P07? I just picked up a suppressor ready P07 and haven’t shot it yet. Secondly, is it worth it to buy a Rock Island 1911 and upgrade it or just buy a quality 1911 off the bat? |

as far as 1911's go, you get what you pay for up to a point. you may get a good ria or you may get a dud. i think springfield makes some of the best "budget" 1911's for the money and if you do have an issue, they take care of it. |

im looking to get my first pistol. I have rented a glock and a springfield XD and I liked the way the springfield shot more. this was about 7 years ago however.
I wanted to get input from the OT Gunatics. A friend of mine recommended the CZ p01 which I found online for just under 600$. I also like the grandpower stribog but its not a pistol. I own a 12ga for home defense and I am not really sure If I would conceal carry. I do want to take a pistol course for defense fundamentals. |

Try as many pistols as you can. What works for one person may not work for you. |

Hammer-fired pistols in single action mode have the best triggers for feel and accuracy IMO, but many shooters like striker-fired because they generally have a trigger that is the same with every pull. Except 1911s, which are SA-only, most hammer-fired guns can alternate between single-action and double-action, which I personally like. |

Traditional double/single action is probably the hardest trigger to master due to the DA first trigger pull and difference in subsequent SA pulls. |

After much waiting, my new toy finally came in! A Remington 700-CP in .308. I'm waiting on a couple more things (stock folder, Surefire Warcomp) to come in before it is "complete".

6 months? That's pretty good. My first fan took 14. That thing looks like a ton of fun.
I brought a friend to the range today that was excited to shoot a gun he just purchased from a coworker. All I knew was it was some sort of 300BLK AR. Turns out it's a mess of a PSA build. 8 inch barrel, 1st gen shockwave brace and, not joking here, a 1/4 inch bolt with a nylock nut in the place of the rear takedown pin. I picked it up and went wtf?! It had some super cheap red dot from Walmart and an ugly no name keymod handguard. Also, the buffer retainer had broken and fallen into the trigger assembly which wouldn't let the bolt go more than halfway back. I'm not one to crap on other people's guns but this one just screamed danger. I told him I wouldn't shoot in in that condition, luckily he forgot mags. Crisis averted. |

I'm going to be collecting a ton of overtime in the near future and need to decide what I'm going to spend a bit of money on. (Most of the money is going to bills and the house. But some of it will find it's way into my gun fund.)
Finish my AR-10? Finish my AR pistol? Buy the Tanfoglio Hunter in 10mm that I've been lusting after for the past few years? Or try and find a CZ P01 all steel with a safety that I have also been lusting after? Or do I finally get my first suppressor? Decisions, decisions, decisions... ETA - I knew I shouldn't have looked for one. Bud's has the P01 I want in stock right now. Dammit. Last edited by tcs007; 05-09-2020 at 10:03 PM. |

I think I've already talked myself out of a suppressor. If I get a rifle suppressor, I'll only be able to use it once in a while. If I bought a pistol suppressor, I'd need a host.
Something else I was thinking about was sending my 97B off to CGW for their E conversion and have them put an SAO trigger in it as well. That is something I would shoot a lot. And I'd still be able to swing finishing off one of my AR builds or possibly a used P01 or 75 compact as well. Of course, I could always go suppressed bolt action 22. I could probably swing suppressor, stamp and host if I did that. And the neighbors would never know. But then again, if I found a clean example of a 4" 686 or 5" 629 (no dash), that all goes out the window. Last edited by tcs007; 05-10-2020 at 01:46 AM. |

Suppressed BA rimfire rifles are great. Hell, any suppressed rimfire is great! You can easily hear the paper tear with a BA though since there’s no action cycling noise. As above, a good rimfire can shouldn’t run you much more than $300.
