This is not another of my "OMG the sky is falling" thread. More like, lets see how you are doing, and see what im doing right/wrong.

So far im -4%.
Probably not that bad considering how bad the economy is right now.

I previously invested heavily in the international market while they were doing good....went from a +12% 3 months ago to -14%

They still seem like they are doing better than the us markets or am i wrong?

My last statement was after expenses...down .1%

I have yet to see this quarter...but I anticipate down ~7-10%.

so far in '08 i'm at a whopping -10.4%, although i'll soon be eligible for my company's vested matching contributions (they match 6% but it doesn't vest for 3 years).

-9.5%

I'm in index funds, about 25% large-cap domestic, 35% mid-cap domestic and 40% developing markets. Hopefully I'm buying low now.....

word. at this rate, their match is the only way i'm going to stay sane. it'll be nice on that target date to see my 401k double (minus the @10% loss ).

Down ~8% YTD.

In October I changed 75% of my Contributions to Mid Cap US Stocks.... I'm still figuring out if this was a bad call. My 401(k) is a little over a year old now.

My Q1 was -3.5%....can't complain about that. I don't have numbers for the past two weeks though.

I'm down 3% this year. The wife is down 13%. Impact of being down isn't as large on me since both my personal contributions as well as company contributions happen when I get paid, so 2x a month. That means I continue to buy even when things are down, so it isn't a huge deal. It is more a problem for the wife since her company contribution comes once a year.

Year over year I'm actually up, so this bad quarter hasn't totally eroded gains from the last 12 months. The fund I'm allocated to 100% is nearly 65% oil stocks, so those have been keeping the rest afloat.

-7.35%. I'm all in cash and company stock (no choice) now. I don't have much money in there so it's not a big deal right now.

Personal Rate of Return from 01/01/2008 to 03/14/2008 is -8.9%

Maybe my previous 401K is doing better...but I doubt it.

It's either 1) BS, 2) bad math or 3) poor allocation.

401(k) from my previous employer is also off 9%. The upside is I no longer need to reallocate my funds, I was heavy in stocks after last year, but the current slump has me back to an 80-20 mix.

Or i just called the market right.

FYI i owned Ntdoy, GLD, FXP and FXE.

you do the math.

Also I have the ability to daytrade my 401k.

this btw is completely separate from my PA, which has a 300% return on the capital invested.

no i took a bet on a weak dollar. I bot GLD and FXE en masse. I have selectively traded FXP. I exited FXP today at 117.95. I bot it about 3 weeks ago at 83.

I still own FXE and GLD.
