Thanks. That's usually my style. Cram as much crap into a clean setup as I can. Same way I build a car. If you look you can see my RCA switch so I can hook up any of my old school game systems easily without leaving them out. Eventually I'll add an HDMI switch so I can do the same with my laptop (yes it has an HDMI output ).

Did you happen to see my setup? Miles of wires and they're all visible! not to mention even though I'm probably the youngest guy in this thread...I'm the old fart with the CRT tv. Hehe.

Ya I know you were kidding, I just noticed that I could still see wires on mine. I hate that. Ya well being young is why you can't afford a flat screen man. How old are you? I'm only 24 and I know Chris is pretty young too. You can tell by all the exposed wires in his setup. Damn kids and their messy installs.

I'm 20...damn near 21 I took the jump to HD in an instant when I found my tv at Sears for $500. 34" Sony 1080i CRT...it shamed half the LCDs in the store. Only problem was that it weighed 196 lbs. On the plus side? Gorgeous picture, longevity, and it will never be stolen

Been following this thread for awhile figured i'd start with a post of my current system . . .

Sony 50" 1080p LCoS projection display
**Pioneer Elite VSX-21 - old school DD/DTS receiver
Dish VIP622 HD DVR
Apple TV w/ 1 Terabyte of network storage for music/movies/pictures
Onkyo CD player
**Samsung SD dvd player
Klipsch KSF 10.5 - Dual 8" woofers + horns
Klipsch SC-1 Center Channel
Klipsch RS-42 THX surround speakers - awesome surround speaker ~$400
** broken subwoofer
Logitech Harmony 880 controlling it all

**will be updating these to newer components ASAP. I'm really missing my sub so that will probably come first while waiting as long as possible to pick which HD format to buy into.

Will not consider making the switch on my receiver until I can afford to go with one that does full hdmi switching with at least 100 watts/channel. I'll try to get some pics up once I pick up my mess from this weekend - ran coaxial and ethernet through the crawl to connect the home theatre and my office.

Yup. I posted about that deal in the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD thread and was ---> <--- this close in getting them but the 50 ****ing dollar shipping was just too much.

So i went ahead and got the polk r300 for 40 dollars each at my local Frys! and they sound great.

I'm hoping maybe one day those r50s will be $60 bucks at the local store...i'll be all over them.

Right now i'm just here sitting down thinking of wether to invest 200+ on a 12" sub (my current one is a 8" sony subwoofer) or just save that 200 and wait for another 200 in a month to get the Onkyo 605.

choices, choices.

Yeah, the JBL 12" 500 watt subwoofer looks like a killer deal.
http://www.amazon.com/JBL-SUB12-12-I...1643676&sr=1-1
That was the one I was thinking about (and the Dayton 12" for 150).

B&W DM 602 S3 bookshelves
42" Sony KDF-e42a10 tv
Onkyo TX-SR603x receiver
Sony upconvert DVD player
B&W CC6 S2 Center Channel
HSU VT-F3 MK3 sub
Yamaha surrounds

Couldn't really be happier with the sound quality. The B&W DM 602's are one of the best sounding speakers I've ever heard for the money.
