You cant tell where which end plugs into...?
That transmission should have the speedo sensor on the passenger side of the casing. little black plug sticking out. the other end connects to one of the 3 or 4 ends at the top of the transmission. the lower o2, neutral safety switch and reverse sensor(the last two are the two on the driver side near the back of the transmission, not sure 100% if that is waht they actually are, lol) are all bunched together next to the slave cylinder. Jdm 5sp swap wiring harness help
What's the trans going into? If your car measure speed at the hub then there won't be a plug for the speed sensor on the trans
Edit: Sorry missed it was going into a bugeye. The JDM trans has a speed sensor on the passenger side about halfway between the bell housing and tail shaft. Many times the wires are cut. If that's the case, you'll need to pull the one from your original trans. They can be difficult to remove and crack easily. You can find them on eBay for around $50 if you break yours. which end can you NOT find, lol. The sensor end or the plug end?, i mean the plug should be right up on the firewall near the slave. I literally JUST did exactly waht you are doing. also, actually aided by @snow_bound26 in terms of the speedo.
My plugs were right there. the trans only has the two switches and the speedo sensor. I could be wrong but the 2 switches are bound into one plug on top of the bell. there should be two additional plugs, ie the o2 and the speedo. Are you able to take some photos and post them that would help! |
