Right now we have a small lead time on the new cast pan, a couple weeks and we should be all caught up.
I know it's early, but we do sometimes run out of stock during the spring-time rush. Don't wait until the last minute

To all of you who have purchased our new Super G Pan and High Flow Pickup.
We are interested in your feedback and data. We would love to get some plots that include telemetry, oil pressure, oil temperature, and crankcase pressure. We have sold a lot of these pans and our customers have been generous with feedback, but more is always better.

Fun fact...
We use a proprietary casting process that allows thinner walls with no draft required. A benefit of using this process technology is that it allows pan geometry that can hold more oil. More oil means more 'residence time' (the time oil spends in the sump before it gets sucked back into the engine). Any increase is residence time will decrease aeration. Improved oil residence time has been shown to de-aerate oil better than 'de-aeration baffles'. Improvements in de-aeration increase oil pressure, reduce heat, and improve overall lubrication system function.

^ Yes this
Yes they will. depending on which OEM TS manifold, the heat shield may need to be trimmed to provide clearance.

Mine did not fit with OEM TS headers, I didn't try to trim the heatshield but it doesn't look like it wouldn't fit even with trimming.....there's pics in my thread

I just checked it out and responded. That looks normal for JDM TS contact points. Trimming the heat shield should do the trick. Although, I'd like to see how far off the gaskets the flanges are. Feel free to PM me pics.

We see this kind of thing on occasion. Mostly from install error, what we call 'forced' installs; installer doesn't remove the manifold, and/or doesn't jack the engine up, and forces the pickup through the baffle. That is 95% of the failures we see. Even at that this was less than 1% and FAR higher with the older 100% fabricated pan design. Likely due to to increased tension that 120" of weld can induce. The current cast pan design is obviously a very different process and we opened up areas in the baffle to add some more installation clearance. Additionally, the design was further changed to reduce heat cycling stresses. The pan in the Smedia vid is older and has an older baffle, and we will replace it with the latest design. I won't know what the cause of the failure is until we get it here to review. Perfection is something we strive for, but in reality is unobtainable. We all make mistakes, but how we respond to that can have the biggest impact. Even when pans have been installed incorrectly, we replaced the baffle under warranty with some guidance on installation, but would NOT cover it after a second occurrence. I wish I could say we never saw one come back a second time for a forced install, but it has happened Never once has this cause an engine issue. The pan is under a constant oil bath. There is no rubbing or chafing of metal-on-metal as most assume, and the parts can be seen fitting together like a puzzle with no bits missing, even under magnification. Oh, and if you've replaced enough OEM pans, you will occasionally find a broken OEM pan baffle, or even a missing tack weld For fun, here's a pic from one of the forced installs....
