Baja Modders!

I have huge news on the front of an actual Stainless Steel 6-line brake line kit!

I've been in contact with the Operations Manger over at Techna-fit, and they have confirmed fitment of their SUB-1125 6-line kit for our Bajas!

I'm ordering a set this evening, and should have them installed in a few weeks if all goes as planned. Stay tuned!

Just responding to confirm that Technafit's SUB-1125 6-line kit fit like a glove on my '05 Baja Turbo!

Also paired with Hawk slotted rotors and Stoptech pads. Feels great!!

I am assuming someone here knows an answer to this... will a 2006 baja-T wiring harness / ECU be plug and play with a 2007 wrx motor?

Looking at buying a baja-T that has a 2007 wrx motor w/ 35k miles simply bolted up to the transmission and motor mounts but still needs to be finished. Just trying to figure out if it will be worth the time and effort of buying this project or if its going to get complicated quickly requiring a wire merge, tune or having to buy a wrx ECU.

Search for 2000-2004 lower springs for the OUTBACK on ebay. There are a couple different options.

For my own question... does my 2006 baja turbo have a catless up pipe? I know I have read that in 2006 subaru made that change. Not sure if the baja fell in that category though being that it is a bastard child. Any ideas? There is a sti uppipe local to me for a good price right now.

It will likely depend on the build date if it does or not. The easiest way to tell is to look at it.

To be honest... I don't know how to tell the difference between them without actually looking down inside it. Do catless ones still have a temp sensor?

Yes it will have the EGT air fuel ratio sensor. All baja turbo's have a catted up pipe.

Default 2006 baja turbo power steering

The shaft on my power steering pump squeaks and moves in and out. I called the dealer and they said that 2006 turbo models cant be rebuilt and a new pump is $500. Looking to take it out in a couple of days, is this year different or is it because it is turbo it cant be rebuilt? Help, lol

illegal 2.2: thanks for the reply. I'll go take a closer look. My baja has an 07 wrx block in it so I'll just need to check to see if they kept the baja up pipe or not.

so what model/year fitment Downpipe are you guys running?

I keep seeing brands but no one says what it was intended for? ( i could have missed it) 02-07 wrx or 05-09LGT / 08-14 WRX?

Also, I dont see any, but who knows what FMIC piping is best routed to fit the Baja? I assume 05-09 LGT/08+ WRX, but its possible i assume wrong.

Thanks in advance!

So I feel like I already found this answer before but now have come back across it trying to hook up my A/C finally. Using the Baja A/C line, it is way too tight I feel like and the threaded nipple with plastic cap hits into the STi TMIC.

I am not sure if this is an intake manifold difference(that seems to ring a bell) so the TMIC is pushed towards the firewall a bit more causing this problem. Or are there some Baja turbo owners with STi manifolds and TMICs that still work?

2.5 turbo hyped's engine bay looks like it has a diff A/C line on it that is up farther.

Maybe I'll try bending the intercooler brackets to get more room? If it should all fit no issues I'll see if that is the problem.

I'll try and snag a pic tomorrow.

Thanks
Ben

also, does anyone know if there is a basic stage 2 open source map for the baja around? i can find one for just about every other turbo subaru except the baja...

Does anyone know if the white line KTA124 rear link kit from the legacy will work. I have an 06 turbo 5mt and the rear link is frozen and I can't adjust the toe. I would just rather replace it with something stronger than the factory part.

The strut cartridges are 50mm longer so you can do a 2" lift rather than lower it and they use 14k swift springs on all 4 corners.

This setup makes the oem setup feel like jalopy garbage trash clown car suspension.

So did you have to get new axles. And this raised your baja 2"....is your baja an 05, would this work on a 06 do you know?

Just bought my first Baja last week. 2005 Turbo Silver/Silver with 59,000 miles. Will be needing to replace tires soon, good to see one with raised white letter tires...
