My car had a bad fuel pump, it would start sometimes than finally wouldn't start. You should be able to hear the pump in the back passenger side seat.

And i just had these 2 codes along with the rough idle like on 3 cyls kind of rough, both MAF/IAT codes logged and pending over a loose pin cyl 1 injector harness clip. Plugged that in and went to clear my codes and only that last time did a code p0301 misfire cyl 1 actually got stored after clearing this issue 4 times previously during this diagnosis. Very annoying issue. But it is resolved.

Default 2013 outback 2.5l, same issue

I have a 2013 outback, 2.5L 4cyl...bought used last year, with about 121,000km now with ~134,000km

i have these codes coming up as well...started the car after a couple days of not driving it (and a pretty fierce wind storm), and these fault codes popped up (P0102 & P0113)
so i cleaned the MAF sensor, put it back in and the rpm at idle came down very slowly back to ~700rpm rather than 1800rpm before i cleaned it, but the codes were still "pending" and there was a rich smelling exhaust...i drove it around for a day while waiting on a new MAF sensor to get it at the shop, not much change.
so i got the new MAF sensor installed and drove around for a bit testing it out, getting the rpm's up to 4500 which it wasn't able to do before so i think the new MAF has helped a bit? right after installing it, the car started doing weird revving at low speed (50-60kph) shortly after starting from cold

checked codes again, wouldn't clear...so i took it in to a mechanic...looks like animals chewed through the insulation on 5 wires...guess the soy based insulation is tasty

Sorry to bump.
Just want to share my fix.

I replaced my MAF and now my P0102 and p0113 codes are gone

I literally had these two codes after removing my intake. Nothing was wrong before.. Not sure how it happened. I probably left my battery connected while I unconnected my MAF which lead to it breaking?

I've been chasing a P0301, Cylinder #1 Misfire. I've probably checked
for OBD codes thirty or forty times, in last three days.

I got P0102 + P0113 together, once--when I checked for OBD codes, with the MAF
and IAT sensor unplugged.
Once cleared, neither code ever reappeared on
subsequent code checks, which all were done with MAF and IAT connected. Neither
code ever appeared, on earlier code checks, when the MAF and IAT were connected
during check.

It would appear that the default error codes for un-plugged MAF and IAT sensor
are P0102 and P0113. Hope that helps "solve" the problem for someone!
