Fender Liners
I’m looking at a solution to find or alter the front inner fender liners for my ‘06 WRX. The fenders were rolled and I purchased new liners and there’s quite the gap. Someone said they make fender liners for wide body fenders. I can’t seem to find them anywhere. I do not want to leave gaps due to getting water and mud and what not up inside and clogging up the air filter and who wants to clean up a mess anyways.

Just came across this. If you're still looking for info the easiest thing to do is take a heat gun to the liners and stretch them onto the fender where you need them. Might take a couple tries before the liners hold properly but it works. Work an area about 25% larger than the gap itself.

Just weighing in, this is more important than most people will realize. My old GD ...'lost' the front driver side liner. Eventually water made it's way through the wiring harness grommet into the cabin. It entered under the dash and ran down the wires to the interior fuse box, causing electrical hell to break loose. Just saying, you definitely want that front liner intact unless you ONLY drive in nice weather.
I believe the liners also help prevent rust and corrosion under the hood, as long as the under tray is there as well. |

Do you think a heat gun and pulling the liner out away from the body would help close that gap between the fender and liner? I’ve got it all bolted and buttoned in there.

If the liner is a theroplastic (like abs) you can reform it a decent amount. You could also buy a strip of thin ABS and rivet, zip tie, ect to fill a gap.
